Senator Chris Dodd guilty of 'mortgage fraud'?
OneNewsNow ^ | 11/14/2008 | Jim Brown

A news-talk radio station in New Haven, Connecticut, is refusing to air a spirited interview between a conservative host and the powerful chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Chris Dodd.

NBC News reports that a federal criminal investigation into possible wrongdoing by mortgage giant Countrywide Home Loans now includes scrutiny of Countrywide's VIP program that gave special mortgage deals to government officials, including Senators Kent Conrad (D-North Dakota) and Chris Dodd (D-Connecticut).

Connecticut conservative radio talk-show host Tom Scott says up until now, fellow senators and the media have not questioned Dodd about his personal scandal.

"I have asserted publicly that Chris Dodd committed mortgage fraud in all likelihood, and that's a criminal act. And the committee that's investigating him in Washington is frankly a joke," Scott contends.

"The Ethics Committee, it's equal number of Democrats and Republicans. It's part of the club; it's not a court of law. There are no rules of evidence there and Chris Dodd, I think, is getting a big pass by these members."

Another example of why the MSM is irrelevant, strictly mouthpieces spouting an agenda.

It’ll be interesting to see how the media handles the scandals, crimes, that will come out of the Clinton Presidency II, the one being installed by the great leader, the Messiah. Look for complete silence from the media.

Thank God for the internet.

Don’t worry, no one on our side will follow through on any of this anyway, so it doesn’t matter. No ramifications ever, for the Democrats. And no one representing conservatives stepping up to get their hands dirty in opposition. Voter Fraud, no big deal. No birth certificate, no big deal. Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac bonuses to Gorelick, Raines, Emmanuel, no big deal, courts overturning votes of the people, no big deal. We have no one representing us.

For nearly a year and a half, Countrywide failed (or declined) to secure its interest in Dodd's home by taking the ordinary and essential step of presenting the documents to the local town clerk and recording them in the land records.

==========================================

Too bad for Doddsy mortgages leave detailed paper trails. Dodd's making the same mistake as his ousted crooked Cong father----thinking he's dealing with a bunch of amateurs----well, maybe Conn liberals (snicker).

Now, it's likely that Dodd is on his hands and knees pleading with Obama to call off the Feds. That's why we need to take other routes to see that justice is done.

For example----Dodd (and his wife and family) are probably enrolled in high-roller comp programs at Conn casinos (and/or in other gambling venues). These programs show every nickel high rollers bet---including wins on which high rollers may not have paid taxes.

Casinos are very tightly regulated. They are more than happy to cooperate with authorities---to protect their licenses.

Casinos would also have records on the amount of untraceable casino chips Dodd (his wife and his family) received-----maybe gifts from his pal Angelo.

Authorities should also inquire if Dodd wire-transferred--- or if Angelo wire-transferred---monies into Dodd's casino account........and if taxes were paid on these monies.

Another possibility: Dodd, his family, and Angelo, may have used NETeller Plc to illegally convert monies that were then transferred offhore---to overseas gambling companies, for their personal use later.

NETeller is an Isle of Man-based payment processor for gambling Web sites (suspected of having operations in the US Virgin Islands---a notorious money-laundering bank haven).

Since June, Sen Dodd has faced an ethics inquiry over allegations that he received preferential treatment on two mortgages in 2003 from major lender, Countrywide Financial. And then came the dramatic financial meltdown last month, placing Dodd at the center of a controversial $700 billion financial rescue plan.

As a member and later chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Sen. shoulders a good deal of the blame for the collapse of the national housing market, the subprime-mortgage-market meltdown and the convulsions on Wall Street.

Reams of legislation Dodd has written or advocated affecting the housing, lending, insurance and securities industries have drained hundreds of billions out of the economy, ballooned the federal debt, cost tens of thousands of people their jobs and driven hundreds of thousands of homeowners into foreclosure, bankruptcy or both.

For his efforts, Sen. Dodd has been rewarded in the 2008 election cycle alone with $7.65 million in campaign contributions (he took in $11.7 million in all) from the securities, insurance, real-estate and commercial-banking industries. With $165,400, Sen. Dodd also tops the list of members of Congress who took campaign cash from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac since 1989. Sen. Barack Obama, the self-styled agent of change, is a distant second at $126,000....

SEN DODD'S CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTORS
Citigroup, $310,294;
SAC Capital Partners, $282,000;

The radio host quit his job in disgust after the station wouldn't air the interview...the "bureaucrats" didn't like it.

Too bad he doesn't run for something. We need more like him.

The Chris Dodd Mortgage Scandal

Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit has the latest information on the Chris Dodd mortgage scandal.

As reported previously during the campaign, Senator Chris Dodd and other top Democrats, including Barack Obama, are knee-deep in the mortgage scandal that resulted in our economy being brought to the brink of disaster.

As for Dodd, the feds are now investigating the Senator’s ties to criminal activity in the Countrywide Mortgage debacle.

It has been difficult, however, for the feds to gain any traction in their investigations into possible illegal activity on the part of Dodd, Obama, Rangle, Barney Frank, and other top Democrats due to the fact that the lunatics are running the asylum (Congress).

The worst-case scenario, which is entirely possible, would be the discovery AFTER the election that not only Obama but dozens of Democrats in Congress share culpability in the mortgage and banking scandal that led to the financial crisis.

If this turns out to be the case, the mainstream media would find it impossible to avoid reporting it as they did during the campaign.

Wouldn’t it be odd to discover that Americans elected to office a gang of criminals due to the fact that the mainstream media refused to publicize what they knew behind the scenes?

After all, they admitted they were biased, but it was all ‘for the good of the country.’ Sure.

One of the talk show hosts played this Friday, so it did get national air time.
I’m thinking it was Jason, sitting in for Rush.

Ah, the next question is: “Did he declare this as income or on his Ethics filings?

It could be inputed income - because of the favorable rate, not available to the public. Hello, IRS - another Capone case for you.

If he didn’t disclose this on his yearly filings, he might be in trouble with the Senate, also.

My money is on the IRS. After all, if they decide not to go after him, why should any obey the rules?
