Prosecuting High-level Americans for War Crimes
On September 13-14, 2008, over two hundred people from the United States and abroad gathered in Andover. Massachusetts for ... Conference on the Planning for Prosecution of High Level American War Criminals...
Impeachment of Bush-Cheney
... the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney was very much on the table ...
Local, state and federal criminal prosecution
...the Brattleboro, Vermont, ordinance that calls for the arrest on sight of Bush and/or Cheney...
One particular scenario ... was to charge Bush and Cheney with murder of U.S. soldiers who have died in the Iraq and Afghanistan war under state law. ...
examined the possibilities for such criminal prosecution in state court. ...
Charlotte Dennett, advised that if she were elected she would consider opening state murder prosecutions against Bush and Cheney.
One strategy ... having hundreds of local DA's of the 2700 in the United States start those prosecutions in municipal courts. These state criminal prosecutions would put pressure or make it easier for a federal district attorney ... including such crimes as obstruction of justice, criminal use of classified documents, etc and the other crimes that typically catch high-level civilians was encouraged in an effort to find ways to vindicate international law rules through the domestic courts.
... common law courts... was examined as a means to turn revisionist international law theory to the advantage of those seeking prosecution... The Federal Assimilated Crimes Acts could also make federal charges on customary international law grounds...
State licensing complaints
Complaints to state licensing authorities for psychologists and lawyers were examined ... to sanction those who are considered to have broken the law and betrayed their professional oaths

This would cripple our efforts in the war on terrorism and greatly divide the American people.
Freepers should pay heed!
Been paying attention. Reminds me of South Carolina in 1860 ~ so we know exactly what it means. Now, for something like Kansas in the 1850s ~ and this time no more Mr. Nice Guy. It’s time to clean the rebels out.
Someone should go there to Massachusetts and mention that they should also try JFK in absentia for even worse war crimes.
Bay of Pigs: 4000 (as many as) RESULT: Failure
Vietnam: 60,000 Americans, 1 million Asians RESULT: Failure
Afghanistan: 1000 or so (less than 700 American Casualties)
Iraq: 5000 or less American casualties
RESULT: Both governments have been uprooted and deposed.
...imagine that you’re a terrorist sitting in a cave in Afghanistan. You’re getting your ass kicked everyday by the US military and then you read this.
Terrorists in Guantanamo are going to get more favorable treatment than the people trying to protect us from the scum in Guantanamo. Never thought I’d see the day...
I hope they do. Maybe then a few of these “high-level Americans” will finally grow a pair and take the situation in hand. Nothing will be done without leadership, and we have none.
Forgot to mention, that in the case of Iraq, we went in to remove WOMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) and in fact, removed more than 500 metric tons of Yellowcake Uranium from Iraq.
Kennedy achievced nothing in two wars, and for an encore, almost launched WWIII - a major nuclear exchange with Russia over missiles that have since ended up back in Cuba.
RE: “This would cripple our efforts in the war on terrorism and greatly divide the American people. :
It’s Obamas war on terror now and dividing the american people is the name of game on both sides. Hard to see this going anywhere. Lets see Moonbats/Sheenans pressure federal democrats to do this, and then we got a golden issue.
This is a ridiculous effort. If they go after Bush and Cheney, then someone ought to go after the Democrat felons including Obama and Pelosi and others for treason, Frank and Dodd for fraud and bribery, so many others that I don’t think they really want to go there, at least not the sane ones.
Hmmmm. Help me here: Where have I heard that phrase "Central Committee" before?
What a barrel of monkeys this would open up.
If Saddam was in charge he would go up and gas these seditious traitors.
May the dangers and hardship ahead affect you all more than those of us that tried to prevent this from occurring. I have no sympathy for you if it does.
If the witch hunt is carried out as badly as this is argued and written, I don’t think Bush and Cheney have much to worry about. A brief look revealed a grammatical error, an assertion that the 9th Circuit is too conservative (!) and a proposal to arrest them if they go to some hayseed hippie town in Vermont. As if. Academics are living in a parallel universe. The thing I dislike the most is that they do it on the public dime.
Bush should write the authorization to destroy any possible White House and administration records that could be used to prosecute any member of his administration or military command, then issue a pardon for any crimes any of them had committed while performing their duties.
Then they could feel free to utterly reject any assertion of criminality by congressional committee or judge in the US. They would be covered in several ways, because even if evidence wasn’t destroyed, they would be pardoned, yet none of the destroyed evidence would be usable against anyone else.
Finally, Bush could sign the pardons, but not publicly release them until needed.
Of course, these Commie maggots are too chickensh*t to go after the REAL MURDERERS. Bad things might happen to their sorry asses.
If our Great President Bush had the full support of All Americans, he probably could have captured Osama bin Laden by now.
The UN Iraq mandate will expire 31 Dec, however, Iraq and the USA have completed an agreement to an extension. It’s all legal.
