You sound like you are in the same boat with me, though I must say, the UMC church here in South Georgia doesn’t seem to be quite on the same page as the uppity-ups.

Fortunately, the current crowd will be retiring soon. We can only hope for more intelligent leadership above.

As to their position on abortion, the Methodist Church is the largest mainline denomination that supports abortion, it is stated in their book of discipline. That document is full of positions that I am sure would prompt you to reconsider your house of worship, or at the very least what you are funding with your tithe/contributions.

Yeah, me too. Even though our church is in a rapidly growing suburb, it’s bleeding members. The new assistant pastor is a total pacifist and tries to talk kids out of military service.

For the sake of discussion, I'll assume you're talking about the extreme leftists. Most of my family are leftists, and they oppose terrorist attacks.

On 9-11, just a few hours after the buildings fell, while the pentagon was still on fire, I had two liberals in two different incidents express that they felt that the U.S. deserved the attacks that had befallen us that day.

Anecdotal yes, but when you add the democrats history of throwing every monkey wrench they can get their hands on into the war on terror, you get a clear view of their intent.

Dems have attempted to bestow full constitutional rights on enemy combatants. They have deliberately alienated allies. they have deliberately manufactured lies in order to aid enemies of the U.S.

It is difficult to come to any other conclusion.

You believe leftists. You provide them succor and support, love and cherish them. I don't. That's why you can't even fathom their evil.

You assume incorrectly I'm making reference to extreme leftists. I don't provide leftist with the the excuse of degrees of evil. Not a leftist, not a suicide bomber, nor a child rapist. No one gets to be those things "lite".

I've observed the left all my life. When someone walks down the road of death their destination is death.

I’ll advise you to read their “book of resolutions”. The church hierarchy writes like they’re quoting from Kos and DU.
The have a problem with Taco Bell and the Mt Olive Pickle Company, I kid you not. I expected the thing to end with “workers of the world, UNITE!” like the communist manifesto.

I’m sure they’ll put out a few “resolutions” that state how great Obama is at their next convention.
