Heads to Roll at RNC - Who will Lead Party Reform?
Canada Free Press (because America has NO free press) ^ | November 15, 2008 | JB Williams

Unlike their united active counter-parts across the aisle, Republicans have not been known for their political activism since they tossed tea into the Boston harbor. That will have to change!

Now that it’s clear to everyone in the free world that the Republican Party national leadership is indeed out of touch with rank and file Republicans across the country and unable to defeat even the most unqualified and inexperienced Democrat candidates on the national stage, heads must roll and they will.

But what’s next?

Yes, we can remove underlings, but the principal problem has been GWB and his refusal to follow and defend Republican principles. All the little American sheeple understand to do is vote out GWB’s party no matter the alternative.

Answer the question about why fellows like Dan Webb abandoned a career as a Republican to cross over and be ruled like that loon Pelosi. Figure out why he could be turned and fix dat first.

Get the RINOs out of the party. Especially those idiots who want to lie about Palin.

yeah...it would be nice to think the Repubes will go in the correct direction. But there is the rockefeller republicat contingent who will think the party needs to make a sharp left.

It may be time to schism and form a true conservative party.

You have to get rid of both, but your point is taken that not changing the top negates any other change.

...congressional Republicans slid back into DC elitist habits of ignoring their base, feathering their own nests, appeasing leftists and spending like a drunken Kennedy.

I am completely miffed! The GOP is going to have to clean house and prove to me that they have returned to conservative principles before I give a dime to any of them.

They ought to put some freepers in charge.

There are a lot of people on this site who have a clue about wining elections, exposing socialists and communicating a coherent populist message in a manner that doesn't piss off or confuse the masses.

Go right over the medias head, in fact declare war on it.

“rockefeller republicat”

Great article. There will be proof that the Check Pants republicians are still in charge, not the grassroots, when Bonehead Bohiner and McCononell are re-elected minority leaders.

Untill ALL LEADERSHIP is kicked out and new faces brought in, in the mold of Lee Atwater, nothing will change.

So, you give GOP members of Congress a walk? It's all GWB's fault?

I couldn't disagree more. Our senators and congressmen are missing body parts and were spending $$$ as fast as Dems.

“You have to get rid of both”

You got it right about “get rid of both”. The RNC needs a thorough house cleaning. Needs to purge all of the old, dull, tired, appeasing leadership with some young, vigorous, true conservative leadership. If the RNC trots out one more old, tired, white man, aka Dole and McCain, I am abandoning the Republicans and start shopping around for some true conservative alternatives...

Take your pick...

* DC corruption
* Defeated right hoping of power in the left
* Turncoat
* Convince conservatives are too divided to ever regain power

There are plenty of available reasons... none of which are acceptable.

I am willing to agree with your blame of Bush, but no way am I giving the GOP congresscritters a pass. They had the majority and could have stood up to Bush at any time. The fact that they went along with him makes them as much, if not more, to blame. Talk about big spenders; didn’t all spending bills originate in Hastert’s House of Representatives?

This is the group responsible for the failure of the RNC.

Those are the heads that must roll...

Very good read, thanks for posting. why are we hanging the future of the party and the country on any one individual? We need a new team of leaders, not just a party face lift. Right now there is disarray and disagreement as to who should be on the team, what the team should consist of, and there are some fragile egos playing Machiavellian games while they jockey for position to lead the team. As long as there is discord and disorganization within the party, not much will be constructively accomplished.

The only thing that needs to “change” is the MSM. Until they start outing the corrupt Dims we are pretty much stuck with what we have been dealt...

IMO - congressional republicans are ten times more responsible for this mess than GWB...

Gingrich had the right direction in his contract with America. Once Gingrich fell, republicans returned to appeasing the left instead of running over the left with American principles and values.

A few years later, voters could no longer tell the difference between congressional republicans and congressional democrats.
