Are they trying to prove that the Bible is false on the same type of science that they prove that evolution is real?!

Think about this...

The religious homosexual cultists cannot admit there is an axiomatic state of reproductive mammalian biology scientifically consistent with evolutionary theory.

If evolution is true, for the sake of argument, then how can homosexuals want to get "married" ???

"It turns out idol worship was common through the reign of King David and right up to the Babylonian exile."

No kidding - we never claimed that it wasn't.
Like we've never read through Kings, Samuel, Judges, etc.?.....

He asserts that the stories, though provably false in many cases, were intended to give identity to the Israelites, a group likely made up of former Canaanites, nomads and runaway slaves. Also, the Bible provided the Israelites with a moral framework.

"Glassman's next work is to prove that the United States Constitution, which provided a political framework for a group of former Europeans and runaway slaves yearning to be free, is also a fairy tale."

Re: debunking “the idea that the Israelites were monotheistic following the contract made between God and Abraham. It turns out idol worship was common through the reign of King David and right up to the Babylonian exile.”

That may be somebody’s “idea” but I thought that the Old Testament was pretty darned clear that lingering idol worship was always a problem for the Israelites.

Set up a straw man and knock it down. This blurb seems like a fairy tale in its own right.

Nor is he emotionally mature enough to be interested in it for fear of what he will find.

Doesn’t the Bible say that the world is only 5000 years old?

Modern science RELIES on the assumptions of the Judeo-Christian religion. Other cultures did not develop modern science because of their (wrong) worldview assumptions.

LOL read 1421 and 1434 : ) China had developed the basis of science without Judeo-Christian references. It was their exporting of this information that sparked the Renaissance and unchained the thinking that had been imposed by the Jedeo-Christian teachings.

Better yet, read some serious history of science insted of affirmative action history.

Are you claiming that the Europeans didn't learn about gunpowder, weaving and printing from the Chinese?

Well, here is where there is a good example of how a big lie is better served with a good dose of truth along with it — to give the lie some credibility.

But, the “lie” is the lie — nonetheless.

Here’s what the article said — “The entire Exodus story is debunked, as is the idea that the Israelites were monotheistic following the contract made between God and Abraham. It turns out idol worship was common through the reign of King David and right up to the Babylonian exile.”

Now, just looking at the part where they’re referring to the “idol worship”. That’s supposed to be something that they can show and/or verify.

And *certainly* right in the Bible’s account, we see *exactly* that very thing. Some people seem to think that the Israelites all came out of Egypt, as an entire generation of “ready-made priests” — the whole lot of them. LOL...

That was far from the truth, as the Bible itself says. They made idols, they grumbled and complained and rebelled, all the time. In fact, they rebelled so much, that at one of their “last rebellions” (where God finally “had it”, you might say) is where God proclaimed that the current generation were *condemned* to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, until *all* of that generation was dead. And that *no one* (save two of “that generation” [”that generation” was everyone 20 years and older...]) would go into the Promised land. That was because of their continuing rebellion and the “last one” where God pronounced judgement.

And when Israel was in the land, they continually rebelled against God. In fact, the article said “right up to the Babylonian exile.” LOL...

What do you think the Babylonian exile was about? It was God’s judgement on Israel for disobeying Him and “going after other gods”...

You see..., many people (today) have the wrong idea of what God was (and *is*) doing with Israel and they make it out to be different than what it was, along with a good dose of ignorance, and then a show comes along with the “big lie” — hidden in the “facts” of Israel’s rebellion against God.

What’s the “big lie” — well, basically, it’s that there was really no God at all who did these things as recorded in the Bible.

What’s the “proof”?

The “proof” is..., look at Israel and how they really didn’t worship their own God (as commanded in the Bible) and so they say — “We’ve got the proof to show that they didn’t do that! And so, their God was a God of myths and fables.” Again..., LOL..

That’s the lie — hidden by being mixed in with “facts” that don’t show what the “naysayers” are saying they show.

The lie is “hiding in plain sight” — mixed in with the facts...

Nonsense.

What "sparked the Renaissance" were the boat loads of ancient texts, preserved in the Byzantine Empire, that were transported to the West after the sack of Constantanople.
