Hmmm any chance this ‘change’ includes shutting the hell up?
Not a chance. Also, any chance they’re holding this in New Orleans in an attempt to begin neutralizing Jindal as early as possible? (Or neutering, if Jesse “Nuts” Jackson has his way.)
It just hit me- the perpetual victimhood- why wouldn’t a little “reverse psychology” work on the whining parasites?
i.e.- You are black. You were once held as slaves in this country. That happened and it can never be undone. For the rest of time every generation will never be anything more than the people who used to be slaves. Nothing will change for you. Ever.
Some will say- ‘huh. Guess you’re right. might as well get over it.”
Others (the more responsible and independent) will say “I refuse to accept that. I know I can rise above this. I will not let the past define my future.” And off they go to become responsible productive adults.
Of course the most responsible and independent amongst them have already done this.
If only “change” really meant we were in a “post-racial” society??!!
I thought that the Obamessiah was supposed to be the post-racial candidate, but now it seems that we’ll never be able to stop obsessing about race (well, some people anyway).
They will NEVER give up the victimhood. Booker T Washington was a prophet...
There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.
