Palin/Hunter

OR

Hunter/Palin

Hunter/Palin would suit me just fine. It would also set Palin up.

What was THAT about?

There are A LOT of Tennesseans asking the same question. Not only did Fred drop out, he dropped out before Super Tuesday and his home state voting in the primary. I was a rock solid Thompson supporter for many years, but him up and quitting like he did lost me forever.

We need serious minded Conservatives who understand the threat we face to our Republic and we need them now. We do not need any more quitters, RINO's or Country Clubbers!

"No. We need new blood. Thompson just doesn’t have it anymore and Palin was damaged by being brought on the national stage before she was ready."

If you think that Palin was "damaged" by the B/S put out by the drive by's, then no one that believes in the U.S.Constitution, self determination, and less government will ever get elected in the future.

Damaged? In whose opinion? Some trogladite communists who can't think, and cannot survive without a caretaker government?

Yeah I also had the impression that Fred was a spoiler and little else.

Romney wasn't even my guy, but, I sure picked up on that BS by Thompson.

I agree, people think they see things clearly, but it just brainwashing,to a certain extent. Thompson would probably do well as RNC chairman. Why do we need younger,I thought babyboomers were the big demographic,no wait,,its illegals now,,and they never marched for republicans. Mccain was chose by the media, just as obama was,we just played the part. The dems will do great harm as the ruling government of America, but they will play their part, corrupt, radical and ill concieved ideas that will turn more voters against them than any republican will ever do. It took the media, academics, unions and dem mafia tactics 20 yrs to get what they want,it will take 4 yrs to get it back, unless they really go to the dark side, then it will take 8 yrs. The problem and solution is,that we don’t get fooled again.

I was for Hunter as were a lot more FReepers till Thompson started that crap of announcing that there would be an announcement about a possible announcement. Then everybody got their panties in a bunch about star power and name recognition till finally McQueeg was the last man standing.

Thompson??? He was old as the hill this year. Can you imagine an 80 year old running for President in 2012??? Please, this was his last Presidential election run. We need youth of Palin or Jindle.

Fred is not a Baby Boomer!!! He is older than that! Baby Boomers started 1946...Thompson was not born that year or after. He is older! So that is why Thompson would be out. Romney is a baby boomer. Palin is a baby boomer. Obama is a baby boomer. Biden is not a baby boomer. Hillary is a baby boomer.

We don’t need a candidate NOW. We have 4 years of Bammy to deal with first. Palin can has 4 years to get up to speed and she now knows exactly what sort of crap to expect from the media.

If Fred runs for president on the republican ticket in 2012 I'm voting for him and no one can stop me. Thompson/Palin 2012. Think about it.

The Republican party is toast. It can't be changed as long as the “lifers” aren't afraid of the voters who put them into office...and they are not!

Without term limits (which will never happen) and only a two party system, none fear the repercussion of the voters. They are too busy lining their own pockets and taking the ego trip to la-la land.

The Republican party abandoned any (and all) true conservative principles the day after Reagan left office...never to look back, only to move on to moderation and to “reach across the isle” to pander to a minority party in office that made them look like whipped dogs for eight years.

It's terminal and can't be fixed unless they actually see their own jobs in jeopardy. The only way to do that is to make the obey the wishes of those they represent!

Sarah Palin and Jeri Thompson start a new conservative movement in America?

And with millions of American women in support?

And at a time when we are so desperate for leadership?

With the likes of Rush, Laura Ingrahm, Michelle Malkin, Angela McGowan and others in also in support?

You bet!

Palin will be our nominee in 2012 (70% chance right now)

Newt out right saying he doesn't want the job, explains his backhanded compliments of Palin, last week. As I said he sees her as the opponent to beat.

not just say no, but fight them on the floor, and on the airwaves.

Strange that the only guy openly campaigning for the job gets no mention in the article, nor here on the thread.

If I recall correctly, the dems controlled congress durning Reagan’s presidency. Conservatism was primarily a Reagan thing, not necessarily a congressional thing.

Plus we sort of hit an apex where government was getting too big...the cycle is different now and we’ll hit it again. I’m not sure the next leader will be as conservative as Reagan.

Palin and Thompson... Take the leadership away from the moderates just to give it back to them? What sense is there in that?

He will be if we refuse anything less.

"As soon as Romney was out, Fred dropped out, too."

If you need to complain, at least get your facts straight.
Fred dropped out before Romney did.

Fred...Jan. 22, 2008.

Romney...Feb 8, 2008.
