Hate to say it, but the severe recession coming up has one good upside. With the economy teetering, someone like Waxman cannot implement his leftist/socialist/green dream. Even these clowns know that it would make the economy worse and they would be thrown out. They can’t have gas at $5.00 a gallon.

Hey, Congressman Dingle-berry: When was the last time you protected and/or created any jobs in Michigan?

Dingell is at least pro-2nd Amendment. Waxman is a flaming communist.

What, are you kidding? Why do you think Dingell was ousted?
Waxman now has a clear field. He has absolutely nothing to fear.

It means a majority of senior Democrat senators favor the global warming scam, to the point of violating their own seniority principles....and the desires of most of the nation between Washington, D.C. and LA. The middle class is so screwed.

We’ll see. Obama wants to get re-elected you know. I think he knows throwing green weenie stuff out there and raising taxes will be a sure way to be defeated after one term. He’s heard of Jimmy Carter.

By odd coincidence, there’s a Lon Chaney Film Festival on tonight, and the old Phantom silent version just ended. Now they’re getting started on the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

"So then why have secret votes, bypass traditions, and put a watermelon like Waxman in?"
Secret ballots are the hallmark of our democracy. Unfortunately, when it comes to a union vote our liberal friends don't seem to understand that. As for tradition, Dingell won't be the first committee head that got ousted who had the seniority. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I think the house wants to lurch far to the left.
My point was that the Obama administration won't want to go as far left as the house does. They know it will ruin our economy. Face it, as much as we despise these liberals, they are bright people. They know that if they go overboard left in these bad economic times, it could plunge us into a deeper recession or worse. The Obama administration wants to get re-elected in 4 more years. While he is not saying he's going to lower capital gains or corporate taxes, he's not touting raising them like during the campaign either. We'll see what he does, but I don't think Obama will go as far left as he wants to in this down economy.
