Well, actually, baraka means “blessed” in Swahili. As far as Arabic words being “nicked” from Hebrew, they are both Semitic languages and have a number of cognates.

Call me cynical, but he was probably at first attracted to her political connections as much as anything else (just like Wright, Ayers, etc...)
Me thinks the whole issue of Jesse “unknowingly” speaking into the hot-microphone and wanting to cut his nuts off was a political stunt.
He thinks it was simply a really cool story about a guy going after a big whale.
