Sarah Palin, Giuliani to Campaign for Sen. Chambliss in Ga. Runoff
Former GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin will make four campaign stops in Georgia just one day before the state’s voters head to the polls in a runoff election that could determine whether Democrats win unfettered control of Congress.
The campaign of GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss announced Tuesday morning that Alaska Gov. Palin and Chambliss will hit the campaign trail together on Dec. 1.
“I was thrilled when I got the call that Governor Palin would be able to make the trip to Georgia to campaign with me the day before the runoff election,” Sen. Chambliss stated in a news release. “Julianne and I are honored that she would take the time to travel to Georgia to tell everyone how important this election is.”
The campaign tells Newsmax that Palin and Chambliss will embark on a clockwise tour through the heart of central Georgia, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Augusta, with later campaign stops that in Savannah, Perry (near Macon) and concluding with a rally scheduled for 4 p.m. in north Atlanta. Chambliss is hoping a last-minute boost from Palin will build the momentum he needs to win the runoff.
Both parties have been pouring millions into the runoff race. Democrats hope to add to their majority in the Senate, which now stands at 57 seats. A Martin victory would bring Democrats to the brink of overcoming any GOP filibuster, which would fast-track President-elect Barack Obama’s ambitious legislative agenda.
The race is important enough to Obama that he has recorded an automated “robo” phone call message that Georgia voters began receiving on Monday this week. Obama says in his message that Martin will “help me change Washington and get America moving again.”

He won't have the Libertarian candidate draining votes from him and I doubt the Blacks are too concerned about the filibuster.
The only way the dems can win this one is by cheating... like a certain northern state.

My daughter LOVES Sarah!!! (and me too!) We have been waiting here in GA for her for months! I cannot think of a better role model for todays young teenage girls!

Barack Obama has been eerily silent on the question of whether he'll campaign in the high-stakes Georgia runoff, even as pressure is mounting on him to publicly declare whether he plans to stump for Democratic candidate Jim Martin.
And the oddity of Obama's silence is only being exacerbated by the fact that -- whether he likes it or not -- he's the star of the race in a lot of ads...

The GOP has been telling Georgia voters that they should re-elect GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss in order to check Obama's power on Capitol Hill, while Martin is turning that issue right around to say he should be elected so that he'll support the popular president-elect.
A key difference, though, is that Chambliss has big names like John McCain and now Sarah Palin coming into the state to fire up the base for next week's low-turnout runoff. But Obama, who is the real center of attention and could help Martin boost his own message, hasn't shown up.
If we cant win this by landslide its hopeless. I remember 1993 we won two senate runoffs because of new Clinton. The only thing that would hurt is a sellout on UAW by republicans. But otherwise we should have the wind, and helped by UAW bailout talk.
Some big time Obama coworkers left work early yesterday to early vote. I hate the early voting scam. Do what the Constitution says and have voting on one day!

Now, the news: Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is traveling back down to Georgia next Monday to do four last-minute campaign rallies in one day to help incumbent GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
Chambliss is in an apparently close-fought runoff race there with Democrat Jim Martin and the balloting is the next day, Dec. 2. Big-name Democrats have jumped in to help the party reach for its 60-Senate-seat, filibuster-proof majority by knocking off yet another Republican incumbent.
Palin, who's also been a successful party fundraiser, will do events for Chambliss from Augusta to Savannah to Perry and then Atlanta, probably just before the evening news on TV. What a coincidence in case any station wanted a live shot of the Republican celebrity!
While many media and Democrats relish making fun of Palin to each other, even weeks after she lost, the 44-year-old mother of five drew immense crowds of the curious and Republican faithful during the presidential campaign. Many broke into chants of "Sa-RAH! Sa-RAH!" even during speeches by the main candidate, John McCain.
The McCain-Palin ticket captured Georgia Nov. 4 by around 200,000 votes. Our colleague Frank James has some more details on Palin's Peach State appearances over at the Swamp.
So if Chambliss wins Tuesday, whom do you think he might support or at least not oppose come 2012?

Number two, now we get to see "Sarah be Sarah." She is no longer constrained by the McCain "handlers," some of which we now know are traitors.

Too bad no one's challenged it before SCOTUS. Likely it's now too late, 0-bomb-us will stack it with Acorn minions ASAP.
When did all this early voting start? This is the first election that I have been aware of the process.
