I went for Sarah at first too-she is apologetically conservative-refreshing. However, she also symbolizes what is wrong with the GOP-applause lines, but no new ideas to solve what is some very serious problems in the US.

I disagree her record as governor says otherwise.

You ever think that that is what she was DIRECTED to do by the McCain Campaign? I would bet good money that she would run a substantially different campaign with her at the top of the ticket.

How do you know?? The media certainly would never have reported any, and the McCain campaign pretty much stifled any such "outbursts".

My preference next presidential cycle is Jindal/Palin. Jindal HAS got the brains and the ideas, and Palin will overcome his negative geekiness with her down-home charisma. Probably the strongest ticket the Republicans can field.

Argh! I am so sick of the phrase "new ideas". All "new ideas" ever turn out to be are new ways to use the constitution of the United States as toilet paper, and it doesn't seem to matter which party they come from. Here is a new idea for you. Rather, it's an old idea - the constitution, liberty, and a republican form of government.
