I have talked to a few people on both sides of the issue that didn’t know this was going on. What surprised me was their first and adamant answer was “It is against the law for a person who is not a natual born citizen or citizen to run for the office of the President of the United States.
Surprised the heck out of me that people on both sides agree and you wouldn’t think all of these people would know this; but they do.
Citizen isn't enough. You have to be a natural born citizen. The constitution clearly distinguishes between the two.
The sticky point is the definition of “Natural Born.” I think we have ALL been taught in high school that N.B. is defined as “born on US soil,” and that’s the end of it. Leo’s case will argue that we were all taught wrong! MSM will have a field day.
We need to pray for each of the SCOTUS members. This will be a tough call for them either way.
That's why I think the idea of "overturning the will of the people" in the election is a false premise. There should be a significant number of voters who would not have cast their ballot for Obama had they known he was not eligible under the Constitution. Enough to swing the election to McCain? Maybe so.
