So far, “CHANGE” seems to stand for “Clintonites Have All New Government Employments.” Or something like that. While the Democratic left wing fumes (e.g., “So Far Obama Appointments Suck“), the ironic headline of the week comes from an avid McCain supporter, Senator Joe Lieberman.

Ya know, I really don't know what to expect in this new Administration. Yes, I was scared to death around Election Day-- but then comes this transition.

I am not really sure just how ideological Obama is-- how could you really tell based off of his (non)record of achievement? And how many political risks does this guy ever take?

I also firmly believe that Fate is about to deal some truly wild cards to Obambi.

Anyone is who is dead certain about what is going to happen in the next 4 years is a fool in my opinion. (Someone out there might make the right guesses--but conventional wisdom will most likely be confounded again.)

Nobody knows for sure what will happen.

But, if we take Obama at his word, it ain't gonna be pretty. Of course, if he goes back on his word, then we've got a pluperfect liar for President -- not an attractive circumstance, either.

At the same time, based on Obama's total lack of executive experience, we have no idea whether he'll be able to make decisions. Much less, make good decisions.

All told, despite all the unknowns, the odds would seem to favor a difficult four years.

Yeah, we’ll all get up every day and go to work etc.

In the mean time, Oblama could very well be killing the demonrat party one slice at a time, a thousand cuts in four years. We can only hope for change.

RE ‘Comes from an avid McCain supporter, Senator Joe Lieberman..saying that Barack Obama’s actions since winning the presidency have been “just about perfect.”

Let me tell you some bad news that many here are FINALLY REALIZING. Our party has gone seriously wrong, and the mantra that Levin and Hannity (but not Rush or Ingrahm to their credit) spread like poison was that McCain was our sole hope who would hold back the democratic liberal supermajority, even if he had run against Republicans in congress and lose seats to win, or put our party name on liberal crap.

This party is sick, it was in power too long, and it was not conservative anymore. Its time to kill the termites and have a party that stands for something again. Hopefully with GWB gone and a big loss after bailout Republicans can stand together again. Goodbye McCain, go with GWB please!

An open message to Levin and Hannity, you sold your soul to win last two elections and you lost them both.

“Fate is about to deal some truly wild cards to Obambi.”

The Illinois pick 3 on 11/5/2008 was 666.

It’s not going to be Fate that deals, but God’s retribution for the things he has done.

Obama is who he needs to be to feed his narcissistic need for praise and admiration.

Sounds like our other first black President, Bill Clinton.

Much the same thing, I think, only Obama is worse than Bill C.

Lieberman: Obama ‘about perfect’ in Cabinet picks...Cabinet picks are window dressing - what will we get from a guy so stupid he sat in church listening to his minister for over twenty years and didn't know what he believed or stood for, or was the guy only lying about that, in which case we have another sort of problem? What will we get from a guy who said he's glad gasoline prices were rising well above four dollars a gallon and hoped they'd go higher, only not quite so fast, and what sort of contempt does that show for the middle class who has to drive to work and heat their homes? What will we get from a guy who said he thought the Constitution was an imperfect document and essentially didn't let the government intervene enough directly in the people's lives, and what kind of judges and law enforcement can we expect from his administration? - what we will get will flow from his philosophy and convictions, not from his appointments, and it ain't very promising.....

My answers to your questions go like this: I dunno; beats me; anybody’s guess. But I question your statement, “what we will get will flow from his philosophy and convictions.” I could be wrong, but I don’t believe Obama has any philosophy or convictions. Other than, “whatever works at the moment.” Which I find scarier than all other alternatives, frankly.

I certainly agree that Obama will say or do almost anything self-serving in the moment - that’s why I’m not very impressed with his appointments so far - for now they serve to calm a lot of concerns a lot of people have with him, but they can change within a matter of months if need be - mainly he speaks mush, but over time it seems to me his comments show a pretty consistent dedication to crushing individualism and individual rights, responsibilities and opportunities in favor of collectivism and big government control, and as soon as he gets the chance I think he’ll be pushing the country in that direction whenever possible...I hope I’m wrong and he turns out to be the “practical”, middle of the road politician so many seem to believe he is right now......
