China's Cities Fuel Global Warming

China's urbanization is a major cause of climate change, the International Energy Agency says.

BOSTON--China's cities will be major contributors to global warming in coming decades as the country's energy use doubles, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in an annual report.

Energy use and urbanization are both growing at rapid rates in China, the Paris-based IEA said in its latest World Energy Outlook released on Nov. 12. China already consumes as much energy as the United States and will use twice as much by 2030, according to the agency's estimates.

Most of China's energy consumption is taking place in cities. In 2006, urban areas accounted for three-quarters of national energy use, a share that will rise to 83 percent over the next 22 years. China's urban population has been growing by over 3 percent per year, helping to fuel the trend.

What really disgusting? The FACT that CNN International (Hate America TV) actually had a 15 minute hit piece by their correspondent in China on this issue and guess who's to blame for Chine spewing toxins into the air. Yep...the United States.

That's right WE are to blame for Communist China polluting the world. Yes, I know 75% of Wal-Mart comes from China and many other stores (to be fair to Wal-Mart) do too, however, the United States commands conformity to EPA rules for all companies operating here. That China pollutes due to manufacturing of things the world demands is of NO reflection on us....its totally their fault.

There appears to be a major disconnect in this article. If global warming has morphed into global change, and we are getting cooler, China’s pollution and urbanization is not causing the change.

I think the important point is that old Mother Earth has had her ice ages and warm spells long before H. Sapiens developed (or was created) , and they will continue long after the worms have crawled out of eye socket of the last man.

Climate changes on the solar planets are dictated by activities of the sun. Mankind is not capable of understanding this basic mechanism of physical science?

You are correct. For over a decade I have been flying to the South Pole and to the Arctic (Greenland) taking some honest and some very dishonest scientists around the ice caps. They all know full well that water vapor and the sun which causes it is nearly 95% of our thermal blanket of which we have ZERO control over. The Al Whores of the the world have successfully led people to believe that mans influence on the remaining 5% is 100% of the problem.

I resent Al Gore and all like him. They KNOW what they are doing and its for their worldview and for money that they do so.

If I have have the displeasure of meeting Mr. Gore I will gladly tell that rat what I think of him and his lies. His children will be forever mocked as the children of one of the biggest liars the world every got fooled by.
