Did God play a role in the election of Barack Obama, and could the Democrat even be God's sovereign choice for our next president?
The answers to those questions vary widely, depending on who is doing the answering.
Among those praising the heavens for Obama's victory was Larry Younginer of suburban Atlanta, who the Chicago Tribune reports kneeling at his church and praying the day after Obama's victory.
"Lord, we have again come to you," Younginger prayed, "and you have heard our cries from heaven, and you have sent us again from the state called Illinois a man called Barack to heal our land."
The Rev. Randolph Bracy Jr. at New Covenant Baptist Church of Orlando, told the Orlando Sentinel that the victory of a young and inexperienced Obama was like the victory of the biblical boy, David, over the giant, Goliath.

Obama was not sent from God but God allowed him to be elected. God watched as Obama skillfuly clouded a majority of the electorates minds with his smooth empty talking and platitudes. Now that Obama has been elected this country will pay a price. What form that price will take, I do not know, but I along with millions of others will know it when the time to pay is due.
Oh yeah, The Lord is just as pleased as punch with Barry! He has the most pro-abortion record imaginable! God just loves that! SARCASM ON.
Harumph!
Obama slew McCain bases on lies/bearing false witness. Apparently blacks can only hear what MLK Jr says and not actually listen about not the “color of the skin” but the actual “character” underneath.
As far as Christianity goes, this prophet/savior “sent” by God to “clean” things up will have a different result than what this reprobate who claims to be a “Reverend” preaching the Gospel, has in mind.
You said — “God always ordains every authority under heaven....this is not news. The reason God has placed Obama as president is to bring Americans to repentance and turn back to God. This Reverand saying that God will bless America through Obama is a false prophet.”
I’ve been posting that Obama is what this country gets as judgement from God...
Daniel 4:17b ...that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
Daniel 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
And so here we are...Repent and pray. For HE has also promised
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Locusts may be devouring our land. We may be suffering from the drought of wisdom. Base men and women may abound as our 'leaders'. But we have the gift of prayer - and so we shall. Repent and pray.
So sayeth the MSM.
If there are any 666 marks..look on their foreheads.
The most basic founding principle of our republic is that power is conferred by the electorate, not by God. The founders believed it was important to make the distinction clear: there’s no divine right of kings (or presidents) in a democracy.
What if it is true, though? How does a Christian reconcile something like that in their mind? Rhetorical question only.
“I don’t claim to “know” Gods will, but I felt God impressed upon me that Obama would win, and that end time events were going to speed up, and to prepare.”
Yes sir, the exact same thing happened to me repeatedly during the campaign. It could have been me writing down what you just stated.
Wow. Thought I was the only one. Never told anyone except hubby until I saw your post.
Thanx for your reply. Sometimes its scarry “feeling” what you think are leadings from God, but since no audible voice, or angelic being in front of me, some times self doubts arise.
If you have cable or a dish, Inspiration network has “The Coming Storm” about either the war of Magog or Armageddon, on now.
Obama being elected? I don't worry about it; I didn't contribute to that. I voted for Sarah.
I watched it tonight. Really good program. I noticed in the intro that Mr. Cerullo sounded like he was going to burst into tears as he was reading some of the prophecies about Israel being regenerated as a nation once again.
Good program.
Time for us to be much more confident, sir. We are the Jeremiahs of this country now. We have to be bold now, because our time is short here.
I like him much more than his father.
I just read Epicenter by Joel Roesenberg, a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend it. I also read The Ezekial Option (fiction) by Joel Rosenberg, a couple of weeks ago. Again I recommend it (if you want fiction, based on prophecy, ala Left Behind)
I read Kay Arthurs book Our Covenant God, opened my eyes to how God views covenant, and his commitment to us through them.
Perry Stones teaching on ancient Israels traditions and what they mean in the Bible are outstanding.
Hagee, sometimes I like his messages, but I have a hard time with him personally. He's 50-50 for me.
I think Christians need to shift their focus from "earthly" dreams to kingdom needs. We need to focus on the harvest. The fields are ready, and the weather is about to change.
My thought of weather was storm clouds on the horizon, but I put weather, because I don't view the storm clouds for us, as I do for non-christians. But I do believe our time is short for the harvest, until we're caught up. Until then we are the Jeremiahs.
At the end of "The Coming Storm" David was talking about time running out and storm clouds on the horizon. It kind of made me do a double take of the program in the background, as this was what I had thought 3 hours prior.
I have been noticing lately, for the last 2-3 months maybe, that quite a number of christian speakers and pastors have been talking about end time prophecies, and world events. Pastors and speakers from different denominational spectrums. Like everyone who's been watching Bible prophecy for awhile, are all seeing the same signs.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Thank you.
God did not put obama in power, the idiot people did by free will.
They had a choice. There were red flags popping up everywhere regarding obama and they ignored them.
They sowed the wind now we all are going to reap the whirlwind sadly.
