FDR was a disaster. He gave away eastern Europe to a madman and was totally ineffective in economic policy. Today's media desperately wants us to forget about Reagan. Get over Reagan, the era is over.

On the other hand, they will continue to idolize FDR because he represents the concept of big government designed to imprison its people. FDR's government is inefficient and overwhelmingly redundant.

You’re right, Harding was better than FDR, and Coolidge beat FDR for V.P. on the Harding ticket. Harding at least understood his own limitations better than later holders of the office. And Harding had the lowest “misery index” of them all.
