'In with a bang' Obama dismays the faithful
UK Times ^ | Nov. 30, 2008 | Tony Allen-Mills

Fifty days before President George W Bush packs his bags for Texas, Obama has already usurped much of his predecessor's authority. Yet in doing so he has exposed himself to early controversy that may seriously shorten the presidential honeymoon that most new incumbents enjoy. There are already stirrings of confusion and dismay among Democratic faithful perturbed by some of Obama's early appointments.

At three press conferences last week, Obama in effect seized control of America's economic policy, unveiling a new team of advisers and future cabinet members, and laying out his plans for a sweeping stimulus programme.

When India was rocked by terrorist attacks on Mumbai, it was to Obama that the American media turned for reaction. He consulted Condoleezza Rice, Bush's secretary of state, and on Friday announced that he was closely monitoring the crisis even as his Chicago home was filling with 60 friends and family members invited for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Another lying article, claiming that President Bush didn't say anything about the Mumbain attacks and Obama "filled the vacuum".

THere is such a rush, a veritable tsunami of ushering Obama prematurely into the mantle of power, down to calling him the "President-elect" when he is, in fact, not (and will not be until the Electoral College casts their ballots for him), that I am given to question it.

In view of the growing controversy in regards to his Constitutional Qualifications for POTUS, I think the haste, unseemly at best, is indicative of a deeper problem, one which will be further complicated by the premature annointing of Obama by the media.

All is unfolding precisely as it should. His Excellency is taking lots and lots of rope. Eventually he will have enough rope to hang himself.

This should be fun to watch!

Get used to it. The “world” should’ve known that he’s all flash and no substance The rest of you guys bought his lie hook, line and sinker.
But when it comes to terrorism, at least Hussein is experienced...he’s buddy Bill Ayers is one.

"Despite Obama’s repeated insistence that “we only have one president at a time” and that Bush remains in charge, the speed with which he has moved to fill the vacuum created by a discredited Republican regime has stunned presidential scholars and awed a surprisingly compliant US media."

The usurper is moving at surprising speed.

Personally...my thoughts and prayers are with you, and your countrymen.

Blessings...

Does any one in the media comprehend that Senator Obama is not even a President Elect?

I've been thinking the same
This haste to make Obama look like the President already is a counter strike against the various court efforts bubbling up that question Hussein's eligibility

But it's also just a naked power grab
Liberals have no life except to govern
To grab power via government
Republicans seek power and success economically in the free market

I agree. In fact, making himself look as if he already had the job was one of his campaign's tactics all along (remember the faux "Presidential Seal" he used?). But I think he's moving very quickly now to consolidate power and eliminate even the chance that the SC or anybody else would have the courage to declare him ineligible, even if he is finally forced to reveal that he is not a natural born citizen. By then, he and his regime will be a fait accompli, and I doubt that the SC would dare to do anything about it.

Agreed L and good morning
0's team is piling on like when you see police move in with overwhelming force
And you might know that 0's team has various visual aids out on TV shots that identify them as "Office of the President Elect"

This punk hasn't been elected yet because the Electoral College hasn't met yet

” By then, he and his regime will be a fait accompli, and”

I find it hard to believe thaqt Obozo is actually ineligible but if he is he won’t be sworn in. He won’t be President. The Law will be followed. Period.

He was using “The Secret” which Oprah featured on her show. When I saw that plane, with the seat for “The President”, I knew Oprah was coaching obama. Just picture and focus on what you want, and you can make it happen. Very dangerous in the hands of corrupt characters and a non-thinking, non-self-motivated public looking for a messiah.
