Kentucky is a red state with no shortage of conspiracy theorists and unusual politics, so it's no surprise that what might be the first post-election court challenge to Barack Obama's qualifications to be president comes from a Whitley County truck driver.
Daniel John Essek, 47, filed a demand last week that Obama prove he is a natural-born U.S. citizen — one of the few requirements to run for president.
Essek wants Obama to provide a copy of his birth certificate to a federal judge in London for verification.
He knows some people might find his request odd, especially after the election, but says he would tell them it's never too late to do the right thing.
"I may very well be chasing windmills thinking they're monsters," he acknowledged.
Essek lost by more than 100,000 votes when he tried to unseat longtime Republican U.S. Sen Mitch McConnell in the primary election this year. He later said on a Web site "maybe I got a little carried away, like my wife said."
The charge that Obama wasn't born in the United States came up often during the presidential campaign. Obama's campaign said that was ridiculous, posting a copy of his birth certificate on the Internet to prove he was born in Hawaii.

Isn’t it funny how they only one they notice is from a truck driver - it’s as if they wanted to deliberately overlook all of the more serious challenges.

Well, I have infinitely more respect for truck drivers, garbage men, plumbers and Wal Mart greeters than I do for the media, including the so called ‘conservative’ media that has, with few exceptions, done nothing to help this story along.

Its not a wink, it is in his cheek bone below his right eye. I watched the video interview he did with Barbara Walters and you could see it even when he was talking. Wasn't real severe and I might not have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it.
I think the stress of actually winning the election is telling on him. He knows he isn't up to the job and is afraid the people pulling his stings will leave him hanging, or maybe he knows his a** is grass because of his birth certificate.
For the record, it should be added that, since experts say it has never been definitively determined what constitutes a “natural born citizen,” that *birthplace* may not be the end of the matter in certain circumstances.
If “natural born citizen” also involves citizenship by descent (from one’s father or mother or both), or “natural born citizenship” can be disturbed by dual citizenship or subsequently attaining the citizenship of another nation, then-—depending on the facts-—a President-select (not yet elected by the EC) may still not qualify.
Remember the issues re “natural born citizenship” MAY include fact issues on:
(1) birthplace;
(2) citizenship by descent (mother, father, both);
(3) potential ways to “lose” “natural born citizenship” status (as by it being displaced by the citizenship of another nation).
If the law has already answered these questions, it would be helpful if the SCOTUS, even if it denies cert., states that in its order.

Somebody said he looks aged and stressed. I myself turn to another channel when I see him on TV, so I don't know. But if I was in his shoes, I'd lose some sleep now.

PS: Note the word ‘Certification’. That is what that document is supposed to be. The true CERTIFICATE is supposedly sealed in Hawaii. (personally, I think it either does not exist or it has a surprise in it.)
If you look at Obama's history, he has not stayed in one situation very long. And he has not accomplished anything. He knows that. He shows up, makes a good impression, and then moves up and out before anyone notices that he hasn't done anything. Harvard Law Review, the law firm. Illinois state senate, US senate ... he has a definite pattern.
But now he's in the White House. There's no where for him to run to. He's there for 4 long years. And EVERBODY is watching him to see what he will do.
And I think he's got no idea what he's going to do. If anyone knows what an empty suit Obama is, it's Obama himself. I bet he's scared beyond belief.
