MSNBC Anchor Frets: Why Hasn’t Obama’s Election Ended Terrorism ?
News Busters ^ | December 1, 2008 | Rich Noyes

File this one under “Deluded Expectations.” During MSNBC’s coverage of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, on Thursday, daytime anchor Alex Witt seemed frustrated that the election of Barack Obama 23 days earlier — and the accompanying “global outpouring of affection, respect, hope” — had not caused an end to terrorist violence.

Talking with correspondent John Yang, who was covering the Obama side of the story, Witt conceded that while “you certainly can’t expect things to change on a dime overnight....There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down. But in this case it looks like Barack Obama is getting a preview of things to come.”

Its true!

Obama was elected over three weeks ago, but I still had to make a mortgage payment and had to pay for my own gas!

And there is some concern also, there had been some concern, that during this period, during this, the transition period, between Election Day and Inauguration Day, that the enemies of the United States, those who don’t care for the United States no matter who’s leading it, would try and test the United States, would try to take advantage of this period, and I think that may be one thing that we’re seeing right now.

Is Mr. Yang aware that this atrocity took place in India and not the US?

The good news in this monumentally moronic society is that the hagiography will end January 21.

Stupid Libs think it is “All about us” or more to the point “all about the US” - it isn’t

Terrorists use the USA as whipping boy and an excuse to justify their “grievances” (just as Bill Ayers does).

The US isn’t to blame for every injustice in the world, far from it, but the Libs love to blame America first and then expect the World to suddenly relent in it’s anger once the Libs get to be in charge.

What they don’t realize is that it doesn’t matter who is in charge when it wasn’t actually our fault in the first place and we are just being used as an excuse to deflect blame.

Surely by now you realize that the most intelligent, gifted citizens enter medicine.

The honorable and courageous - the military.

The bossy and boneheaded - torte law, politics or journalism.

Did it occur to anyone that just maybe America electing The One as POTUS would simply embolden the terrorists? Isn’t it who they wanted to win?
