Where does Obama get such monies? So far he has been a Community Organizer at $13,000/year, a state senator for probably $50,000/year and a US Senator at around $170,000/year.

I asked that question too. Then I remembered something.

Do you have any idea how many STUPID people bought his TWO autobiographies???

That's his wealth in a nutshell.

According to his tax return, he made about $ 4.5 million last year, mostly due to the sales of his two autobiographies describibg a life where he hasn’t accomplished squat.

Gee, do the rhodium miners have a union? What are their working conditions like? Does Obama care? Does Michele care? Where’s my pie?

Money he got from the books that he didn’t write.

$600,000,000 collected in campaign contributions to be spent
as the candidate chooses.

That was my reaction too. Obama is not even President yet, but he’s already figured out means of corruptly enriching himself. All of the low paid former Clinton appointees like Albright, Gorelick and Emmanuel are now millionaires on the basis of their contributing to the financial meltdown while working for the NYSE or Fannie Mae.

I don’t know much about Truman, but at least he was a rare Democrat who started with little means and never sold out the people by trading on the privelage of serving the public.

Obama has made somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 million from his book deal with Bertelsman’s US division Random House.

Liberals take care of their own.

Most of the money came from his 2 books, which basically placed the Obama family on the lower-end of being millionaires. Although I think there’s more legitimate things to ping Obama on, such as his policies and platform. A $30,000 ring is not a big deal, especially when you look at Cindy McCain’s wardrobe (or ahem, that gorgeous white Chanel watch and earrings I’ve seen her wear) or any of the really nice duds Sarah Palin was wearing (bought at Neiman Marcus, the best department store ever) during the campaign.
