Coded Ammunition Bills Present in 18 States
Ammunition Accountability ^

Posted on 12/03/2008 2:24:58 PM PST by Vaak

This is from an e-mail I got. It isn't limited to just Arizona(Arizona stuff's in there because of where I'm at), but 17 other states. So, I figured some of you may find this interesting.

ARIZONA HB2833

Coded Ammunition; State Database

Sponsors:

Martha Garcia (D) – District 13 mgarcia@azleg.gov

Linda Lopez (D) – District 29 llopez@azleg.gov

Manual Alvarez (D) – District 25 malverez@azleg.gov

David Bradley (D) – District 28 dbradley@azleg.gov

Cloves Campbell, Jr. (D) – District 16 clcampbell@azleg.gov

Please contact the legislators above and express your opinion relating to the viability of “coded ammunition” and having a state data base with your information in it!

Far easier to just delete this; but if you act now to head off this foolishness you can save a much bigger fight in the future…

Secondly, please contact the representatives in your home district and encourage to them to vote against HB 2833

Finding your representative is very simple at www.az.leg.gov

Please get involved now! Our ability to protect ourselves will only become more dire if we are complacent.

"When a government is big enough to give you

everything you want, it is big enough to take

everything you have"..........Thomas Jefferson

Remember how the Obamanation said that he wasn't

going to take your guns?

Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun

world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states that requires all ammunition to be encoded by

the manufacturer and a data base of all ammunition sales.

So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009

unless the ammunition is 'coded'.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed

by July 1, 2011. (Including hand-loaded ammo.)

They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so

every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your guns!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states:

* Alabama * Arizona * California * Connecticut * Hawaii * Illinois * Indiana * Kentucky * Maryland * Mississippi * Missouri * New Jersey * New York * Pennsylvania * Rhode Island * South Carolina * Tennessee * Washington

and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

They keep trying their bad ideas every year hoping they can slip one in. It’s a NO GO in Missouri already.

Be vigilant.

My Representative tells me the Indiana bill is dead and gone. Crawford will have to start from scratch next year if he wants to introduce it. It was introduced last January, directed to committee, and died. R.I.P.

I don’t believe that this is a bad email. We need to keep track of the efforts to take ammo off the market as it appears to be their weapon of choice now. We should keep this upfront in everyone’s mind.

They haven’t bothered to try to offer this bill in Texas, but I keep as close track of their efforts as possible.

Sen Joe Biden supported a bill to keep certain ammunition from gun owners, but it failed....so this isn’t surprising.

So, is that the date that they are going to come for it??? Stick guns in our faces and search every house?

Thispart is the real kicker:

“No later than January 1, 2010, all noncoded ammunition, whether owned by private citizens or retail outlets, must be disposed.”

Well, if Her Masculinity (Uncle Janet) gets confirmed soon enough for DHS, Jan Brewer will be Gov. and this will probably be DOA. I don’t think it’d make it out of the legislature anyway.
