I know a young nurses aide that took TOO MUCH TIME with my Dad in his what turned out to be his last days...she got in trouble for it believe it or not....

The nursing home industry is a disgrace.

Yes, it is all a “numbers” game. Too little staff, too little time per patient.

Yep, that happens all the time. The nursing homes seem to be short of help, but won’t hire. They stick with the state minimums on everything. The ones who do show up for work, and actually care, are over-worked, which sometimes make them short with the residents. I’ve seen nurses’ aids fret over the poor quality time they gave to specific residents. Their standards need to be raised across the board. We wouldn’t allow this crap for our children, so why do our parents get treated so badly?
