Ann Romney, the wife of former Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, announced today that she was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer and underwent a lumpectomy to remove the affected tissue.
In a statement, Romney said a lump was discovered last week during her annual mammogram at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She described the discovery as "technically not cancer but rather pre-cancer, as it has not become invasive." Doctors performed the lumpectomy today as an outpatient procedure.
"Mitt and I feel fortunate to have caught this so early," she wrote. "And, it reminds us how important it is for women to have regular mammograms. As in all cases of cancer, early detection is critical. Many families are facing medical hardships -- our hearts go out to all of you and also our wishes for healing holidays."
Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, was a leading contender to be the Republican presidential nominee, but lost that battle to Arizona Sen. John McCain.

So that so also happen to women who have a miscarriage and false pregnancy too....
Remember, I said "unnaturally". Your example is natural. Biiiiig difference.
bttt
I will say some prayers. For now it looks like she’ll be okay!
How tragic. I’m sorry to thear that.
Having lots of babies in your 20s and breastfeeding them all for long periods of time helps prevent breast cancer. Something about less exposure to estrogen.
Women have fewer babies, and later on, exposing themselves to more estrogen, and also women are heavier these days and heavier women have more breast cancer too. More estrogen in the fat cells or something like that.
Thanks for those kind words...
The body does not know the differences a miscarriage can becaused by the enviorment who really knows why it happens sometimes
I think you want to create doubt here go play your games somewhere else!
Prayers for her health and recovery.
Prayers for Ann and the Romney family. I’m glad they caught it early.
How terrible. I’m so sorry for your loss.
