Fox&Friends were showing a video of FDR giving his talk about the Dec. 7 attacks.

Afterward, the young guy (screen left, Dave Briggs) said everyone was glued to their tv sets that morning.

Most people were glued — to their radio sets. TVs were only for the rich at that time.

Byron York on C-Span; talking about Senator McCain and President Bush. York points out that only once in the last (however) many years has a party won the White House for a third consecutive term.

Also discussed the Ivy League appointments coming into the Obama administration. (Observation from Bernard - experts built the Titanic, amateurs built the Ark.)

I got a call this AM that caused me to break my self imposed break from TV FNS. Mara Liaison had confirmed what we all knew was behind the economic chaos that escalated as the presidential election drew ever closer. Summing up my understanding of what Mara said is that the democrats have had plans to push their socialist agenda for health, energy, etc. when the environment was right. They needed a depression like FDR had to accomplish their mission. Mara was straight forward and analytical about what is very shortly coming down the pike for this Republic. She was asked about implementation of this socialist agenda and she said, or agreed, that it could happen immediately. Mara's comments were the most honest admission about the socialist planning that has been in progress since FDR that I have heard from a press person in a very long time. Her segment was actually rather priceless and worth the listening. Just a few sentences but she spelled it out quite clearly.
