Wow it's an all Condi week!!, Cant wait!
I sincerely hope she spikes ol' lefty Chris with her spike heels right in the center of his forehead and leaves a permanent mark.
Can anyone imagine a trade of Condi Rice for Hillary Clinton!! Just when you wondered how far down the country could go it reaches a new low.
December 7, 1941. Hard to believe no mention in any thread so far. Sixty seven years past is not that long ago.
Good morning, Alas!
Thanks for the flag and the reminder.
bttt
Hi there again, AB. Just four more depressing years to go.
Had a chuckle.
Fox&Friends were showing a video of FDR giving his talk about the Dec. 7 attacks.
Afterward, the young guy (screen left, Dave Briggs) said everyone was glued to their tv sets that morning.
LOL
Generation gap.
Most people were glued — to their radio sets. TVs were only for the rich at that time.
Sixty seven years past is far enough back that even Joe Biden was not in the Senate back then.
F&F
Clayton Morris just commented on the ‘tv’ comment and clarified that the ‘video’ was a newsreel (theaters, not tv) and most did probably hear FDR via radio. He did say that ‘some’ people did have TV sets.
[Thus must have received an avalanche of responses regarding the ‘glued to their tv sets’ remark.]
Also discussed the Ivy League appointments coming into the Obama administration. (Observation from Bernard - experts built the Titanic, amateurs built the Ark.)
3 good-bye interviews with Condi Rice; I wonder how many President Bush will get from this group of shows.
Calling all FReeper Sunday Show reporters!!!
As I said last week:
“We need more reporting on the shows themselves; what’s being said, the non-verbals (sighs, facial expressions, tones, etc) and how the guests are responding.
Some folks used to do some really good transcripts of the shows as they occurred. That was prime reportage. Our discussing Tim Russerts hunched-over, paper-clutching grilling of Republicans was good, too. Sadly, not too many of the driveby interviewers are as readable as was Russert’s body language.
And another thing we kept our eye on that gets covered no where else is how much time the guests get.
For example, say Face the Nation has on Chuck U. Shumer and, well, any Republican, at the same time. We know Chuck is going to hog the microphone and Bob Purple-faced Rage Schieffer is going to let him. The Republican is lucky to get in one word. Our reportage is always on top of that.”
So, please help out! Brave enough (or strong of stomach enough) to watch? Please post what you see/hear!!!!
Afterward, the young guy (screen left, Dave Briggs) said everyone was glued to their tv sets that morning.

$$$$$
Actually, that is a very good example of why it is difficult to trust ‘news’ people with deciding what is ‘news.’ In every field - history and climatology pop into my mind, not to mention economics or simple math! - the uninformed are either commenting or reading a telepromter written by someone even younger, with even less actual knowledge.
Condi Rice is giving a fantastic interview to Chris Wallace. Definitely worth viewing for anyone who has to catch the show on tonight’s Fox rerun.
They’re waiting for the Congressional hearings on war crimes. Plenty of “interviews” then. Except it won’t be Tom or Bob or Chris or Wolf; the questions will be asked by Henry, Nancy, Harry, and other red stooges.
At that time, the former Pres Dubya Bush better bring an attorney, and we on the Right need to howl with Holy Outrage. Especially the point that turnabout will be fair play.
But mark my words, (my fear is that) this will happen. The moonbats are just too batty not to push this with all their might.
