In an interview with CNN, Rice also addressed President-elect Barack Obama's victory, saying she believes Americans were "wise in wanting change."

Translation: My boss is an idiot.

O.K., where are all of those 'Condi for President' folks on this forum now?

The “Condi for President” folks wised up long ago when it became clear what an ineffective squish Bush crony Rice (Harriet Miers at State) was.

Oh hell, I'll stick up for Condi.

Look, can you honestly say that what George Bush has done to the Republican Party has made it possible for a RINO like McCain to make a decent arguement for eight more years of Republican government? What motivation did people have to go out and vote for McCain? Not much, if you ask me.

The people wanted change. It's a natural thing in American politics. The Republican Party and the Conservative movement have run out of ideas and leadership. Rice was right to point this out, if only implicitly. Honest conservatives understand this. The Bush Administration became an advocate for a deeply corrupt "big government conservatism", and lost the mandate of Reagan.

All those regular folks who showed up at the Palin rallies were not hankering for More Bush. Rice is no fool. She understands this. McCain never got it. Which is why he lost. However, Palin got it in spades. She's one of the few who figured out that the Bush era was bankrupt and a huge waste of the conservative movement's time and money.

You can't fool the voters. This is what Rice was actually saying, and it hurts to acknowledge the truth. Eight years of the most out-of-control spending in the history of the U.S.? People on this board were screaming for Bush to get out the veto pen, at least once.

He never did. Bush was right about the War on Terror and as Condi said, Iraq, but he never measured up to Ronald Reagan. Period. Reagan was a conservative. Bush was not.

Best,

Chris

Condi may or may not be an idiot too. My personal belief is she is far from an idiot, but unfortunately works for one and as she is intimately connected with his administration her political career is over.

People here should REMEMBER the NEXT time a Bush runs for office, e.g. “Jeb” - run for cover.

They are ALL one-worlders and Counterfeit Conservatives which is, perhaps, even WORSE than a RINO.

All the times Bush's people stabbed him in the back and he did nothing about it.

Translation: My boss is an idiot.

Turns out to be true.

Change back to the Klinton years?

Some change.

Ms. Rice, stop digging.
