A professional man, named Paul Nawrocki made to the top page of CNN because of his unique way of seeking for a job.
Yesterday it was revealed the the U.S. economy lost a staggering 533,000 jobs in November. Today's its not a surprise that the homeless and jobless professionals will find innovative ways to seek jobs in this declining economy. Paul Nawrocki, who says he is beyond the point where he cares about humiliation, has found a desperate, but innovative way.
CNN writes:
"Almost homeless," reads the sign. "Looking for employment. Very experienced operations and administration manager."
Wearing a suit and tie under the sign, Nawrocki -- who was in the toy industry 36 years before being laid off in February -- stands on Manhattan corners for hours, hoping to pass resumes to interested passers-by.
"When you're out of work and you face having nothing -- I mean, having no income -- pride doesn't mean anything," Nawrocki said. "You need to find work. I have to take care of my family."
Paul Nawrocki is a former toy industry executive. Every week he takes 90 minute train ride to New York city walking the streets wearing a sandwich board that advertises his plight: The former toy-industry executive needs a job.
At least this way made Mr. Nawrocki an instant celebrity. Presently Paul Nawrocki search is one of the top searches in Google. Perhaps people are looking to him to see what other innovative ways there can be to find a job in this economy.
People may feel sorry about Paul Nawrocki. I don't. I admire him.
Mr. Nawrocki has a find a very innovative way of not only struggling and searching for job, but also raising an awareness about an entire army of people who are jobless.
In fact Mr. Nawrocki is already well known. I am sure someone or some company will surely offer him a job or perhaps Jay Leno or David Letterman may invite him for an interview. However, what about those who are in the shoes of Paul Nawrocki and have no way of raising attention about their cause?

I wonder if there are ANY DEMOGRAPHIC statistics out there to show that particularly white males in middle age and above are being heavily singled out for layoffs, and if a similiar amount of layoffs for minority and women and particularly minority women based on their employment ratios, is not the case--which might point to discrimination.
i only say this because the photos strike me as odd, and I heard an attorney the other day advise Japanese companies that they had better be EXTRA SURE when they lay off non-White workers in the USA over possible EEOC suits, but that generally they are free to let White workers go in this economy.
Whoever told the Japanese that was an idiot. Workers over 40 can sue for age discrimination, and ANYONE with ANY kind of disability can go right to the EEOC just as quickly as a minority or female.
I’ve known this man for a while. He’s a good guy and I hope he finds what he’s looking for.
It might be that the majority of employed, taxpaying workers are the white guys in their 40s and 50s. Everyone else, it seems, is living on government handouts or secured in their jobs by affirmative action.
My wife turned to the Internet a couple of years ago after our move-complete waste of time. She signed up with an agency and had a job within a couple of weeks.
These are the middle managers...it’s not a plot. Jobs are being lost. Tonight, I am drinking a little Jack Daniels to forget the look on the guys faces who received layoff notices on Friday-last day December 23rd in the Lordstown Ohio GM plant...don’t give me union crap please. These guy have families too. Plus, a number of engineers and supervisors got laid off-professionals. I figure if I drink enough Jack, I might be able to forget for a while...I’m lucky so far. I made the cut-lucky me.
As a 47 year old white guy, you must be kidding. It is almost impossible to sue for age discrimination. How would you prove it? I’m sure it exists.
I let the idiot prattle on. It was in front of a bunch of people. But he did mention the US Federal age discrimination protections, regardless, saying all ducks must be in a line before letting people go, but he clearly said you will have less trouble if you dont lay off the minorities and women first. I thought “WOW”, how FRANK!!

I’m sorry if I was a bit ...incoherent. I decided to have a few drinks. On Friday, thousands at my plant got layoff notices. I went back to work yesterday. I was off Friday. I still had a job for now, but it was like a funeral there. It’s all so depressing.
