A source said today that Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning. The U.S. attorney's office would not confirm the information, and a spokesman for the governor did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Federal investigators have been looking into allegations of corruption regarding state jobs, appointments and contracts in connection with Blagojevich's prolific fundraising."

It was also interesting that the lone mention of the "Democratic Party" comes when they reference the headquarters Nixon taped.
When they're "victims" they're noted by name, but when talking about Democratic Party crimes, they're suddenly anonymous.

I'll watch, but there will be nothing disclosed that isn't already known. Prosecutors are very careful about how they parse their statements in these press conferences.
Prosecutors do not have immunity for potentially defamatory statements they make to the press. It has cost more than one a lot of money when the accused winds up getting acquitted.
