Mama bear instinct + too much beer + frayed nerves caused by screaming/crying kids = Situation ripe for a brawl

The problem is not with Chuck’s. It’s with the parents of the brats.

"The biggest problem is you have a bunch of adults acting like juveniles," says Town of Brookfield Police Capt. Timothy Imler. "There's a biker bar down the street, and we rarely get calls there."I just don't know what to say...

Officers have been called to break up 12 fights, some of them physical, at the child-oriented pizza parlor since January 2007.
SOME of them physical?
LOL
Yep...adults being good role models for their kids....

I would wonder what type of neighborhoods these altercations occur in, but then I don’t want to be called a racist, either.

My theory for some time is Chuck-E-Cheeses now exist mainly for the purposes of supervised visitation and parental custody exchanges.
An accidental buisness model, one thrust upon them as video games took over the arcade. They now deal with the consequences.

I think you’re absolutely right. Sort of a transfer station for the single parents.

At the CERTAIN risk of employing stereotypes ... there is demonstrably a certain racial/demographic group here in Ga. that patronizes those establishments and does not control their kids’ behaviours or their own.

Naw, that’s the chuck e. Cheese in Tacoma. I recognise the bartender.
Nice guy. Hates pizza though...

My little burg is adjacent to Brookfield, WI - Brookfield is upscale, suburban, affluent, mostly white, professionals.
And their brats.

>>The problem is not with Chucks. Its with the parents of the brats.<<
Actually, I think the real clue is in this from the article:
>>biggest melee broke out in April, when an uninvited adult disrupted a child’s birthday party. <<
Translation: There are a lot of “ex-spouses” out there that don’t like being left out of their children’s events. CEC is one of the places where the proverbial rubber of our easy divorce nation meets the proverbial road.

The last time I went to a Chuck E. Cheese's here in New Jersey, I assumed my kids and I were the only ones who weren't packing.
I decided to rename it Chuck D. Cheese's and never went back.

Now I'm a bouncer at Chuck E Cheese
I think I'd rather spend a year in jail
Than another afternoon in Chuck E Cheese Hell

I think the solution is obvious.
Chuck E. Cheese should be banned.
