sigh.............Mr. Bush, just shut up and retire to Texas. Please.

Thanks for clarification on what the appropriate answer should have been.

Since I can't answer any better than the Pres., maybe its best you don't ask me the same questions. Time for me to move on..........

You know its funny but I had a response from a guy about a week and a half ago who claimed to be a personal friend of his pastor who made the following statement: " then the retirees can F’ off. I will tell my paster that and since I know him pretty well he will agree with me. You are a RINO (worlds greatest insult)! Go away,

So it just makes me wonder what it takes to truly be considered a Christian.

What church must you belong to in order to be considered a Christian?

What is the appropriate response to a religious based question that would entitle you to be considered a Christian?

So far I haven't found anyone here capable of answering my questions and all the so-called Christians certainly aren't behaving in a manner that makes me want to attempt to embrace whatever it is they are believing in, you included........

I've been searching for help in trying to find a christian foundation in which to anchor myself but it certainly hasn't been openly available around here.

That's faith. It's hard to understand, easy to get and I don't know how you could ever let it go again.

Go outside and look around (that's no accident), remember the family and friends that gave you a smile (that's not a coincident)and all the babies born with their very own identity that can never be replaced...that is God.

There is no church that can save you or make you a Christian. Faith in God and His Son, Jesus, is all that is necessary.

There is no specific church which will result in anyone “being” a Christian. “Being” a Christian requires two things IMHO - First, accepting Christ as your Savior, and second Believing God (There is not an order in which these two thing need to occur). Believing “in” God is not enough. Believing God means accepting His word, and living according to His commandments. Belonging to and attending a Church has to do with Fellowship not Christianity. Just 2 cents worth.

It’s really very, very simple. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, acknowledging that He died for your sins. Seek a personal relationship with Him, and read God’s word to gain insight into the mind of God, to know how He wants us to live.

Oh....and you either believe the Bible is dead-accurate or you don’t. I do. I don’t doubt a single word of it, and I happen to be a rather educated, professional individual (rather than the stereotypical, if inaccurate, image of a redneck, Bible-thumping, wild-eyed ignoramus....the type we are told believe in the Bible’s inerrancy).
