What are the odds Blago will name a Conservative Republican in a “spite” pick? He’s going down. He may as well do it in flames.
If Reid and the Illinois State Legislators have any say he will either be stripped of any appointments or, if that fails, anyone he sends will be soundly rejected by the Senate.
Not that they have to ‘take-it’..
It would surely look like partisan posturing and damage the democrats even more (especially if the Repub refused ;))!
FoxNews saying that JJJ is “candidate #5,” ...that takes him out of any senatorial consideration, I would think. Gov Blago can “redeem” himself (a tiny bit) by naming as PE Obama’s replacement in the senate, the man he defeated for that Illinois senate seat, former ambassador ALAN KEYES..! Talk about throwing a stink-bomb at the wedding..! Dr. Keyes is a black man, replacing a half-black man, and above reproach in his morals and ethics. Way to get back at the Chicago political machine, and give Harry Reid something to ponder...
