JUNEAU, Alaska — They came, they saw, they ate cookies.

More than 3,300 visitors poured into the Alaska Governor’s Mansion on Tuesday for the annual Christmas open house hosted by Gov. Sarah Palin.

She posed for almost that many photos as Alaskans and a few out-of-staters grabbed the chance for some face time with the former GOP vice presidential nominee.

"Thanks for coming over. Merry Christmas to you," Palin said again and again to the stream of people over three hours.

Wish she had had a decent running mate.

"Breaking News: Alaska governor and failed VP candidate Sarah Palin spends taxpayer money on Russian cookies"

"This reporter has confirmed that Alaska gov. and failed VP candidate Sarah Palin spent an undisclosed amount of money on cookies during the annual Governor's Open House this Holiday season. Some of these Holiday treats are reportedly of Russian origin and, while the total cost of this display is unknown, a McCain campaign insider was quoted as saying 'I don't know, but 20,000 cookies seems extravegant.'"

"It remains to be seen if these cookies were in fact offered in exchanged for voter support for failed VP candidate Sarah Palin's future political aims."

"When confronted with these allegations of gross misconduct and misuse of public monies, failed VP candidate Sarah Palin responded 'Why don't you guys screw off? I made the freakin' cookies myself, with a little help from Piper and Willow.'

"Stay tuned for updates on this latest scandal."

I have had that feeling since her spectacular emergence on the national stage. However, I am concerned for her.

Perhaps you have seen this remarkable story:

Everywhere except the road and sidewalk? A bit thin though. Guess Todd did a good job at plowing the snow.

Maybe they heard about your addiction to cookies..........

Who tipped me off? ;o)

Lincoln used to open the White House on
Jan. 1st each year—it was the people’s house.

Can’t wait until Sarah becomes our first woman president.

3,300 people—just about matches the number of people bidding on Obama’s Senate seat.

I know. We all are on some level, but it’s not worth the worry.

The people who are paid to worry about those things are worrying about those things. They surely know who and what has been entrusted to their care.

It’s been very nice to have a handful of nice Sarah stories to lift the gloom from the Blago scandal.

I know I’m working to make sure I am in the house at CPAC in February. I wouldn’t miss Sarah coming to town for the world.

I hope she has protection beyond the standard force afforded to the governor of Alaska.

She has the kind of protection only angels know about.

She is destined for greater things.

Seven-year-old Piper wore a tiered holiday dress set off by a black velvet bolero jacket. By the third hour, she had shed her silver flip-flops and was bouncing among guests barefoot.

Precious girl! Just like her mama.

I still can’t figure out how to post a picture here, but here’s the Governor’s mansion, at Christmas:

And you just know that Todd went out, probably to Lowe's or Walmart, bought the lights, and put them all up himself.

I can also envision him and the family going out--Griswold-style--and cutting down a real Christmas tree!

This means more to me in so many ways than any BS Harvard law degree. The Harvard Law degree morons got us into the mess we are in now. Its time for a real American.

Another AMEN to that! In fact, I wish the founding fathers had had the foreknowledge to disqualify any and all attorneys from the office of President.

Palin Pingers

/whistles.... I'm not taking this from a liberal site and stealing their bandwidth. So you Shouldn't reload this page over and over... Though I really like the picture.

Palin opens up mansion for 3,000 people, wow.. I don't think I would want that many people in my house, but it sounds like she had a Merry time.

A letter with white powder was sent to the Palin on tuesday but may be connected to the seven other governers who recieved the same thing.

Joe the plumber, McCain and Sarah. Which one isn't like the other?I'll give you a hint, it's not the new ones to politics.

Palin tops Obama on Google 2008 Zeitgeist poll of fastest rising Global searches, which looks at ranking of searches on Google. Obama's number 6.

Sarah is EXACTLY what our founding fathers dreamed about. a TRUE God loving American as the President of the United States. She is what we need, and we need her badly. I just wish I had the opportunity to go to Alaska and meet her in person. Next year I have already promised myself that I will go for sure. I just have to meet this remarkable woman. I can give a rats behind how many schools she went to. She has something more valuable then some fancy degree from some BS Harvard school, she has LIFE EXPERIENCE and the love of country, our constitution, and God, and that is what matters to me. She said “Merry Christmas” isn’t that just AWESOME. Not that Happy Holidays crap. MERRY CHRISTMAS PALIN FAMILY..GOD BLESS U ALL!!
