That article was snarky and biased, but it did raise some good points. Do we really not know for sure if this expert is who he says he is? I’ve just assumed that his credentials have been verified.
Say, SE, why don’t you pursue 0bama’s birth certificate cover-up with the same effort you are trying to learn Polarik’s identy? Why the personal vendetta against Polarik?
Didn’t Barry Soetoro state on his website that he is a British Citizen?
Oh, yes, I don’t say the refutation is correct. And the article posted here says nothing, really. But the linked article makes a fairly elaborate argument, which I’m really unable to evaluate. That’s why I also pinged Polarik.
I read Polariks arguments and found them persuasive. I THINK this is an elaborate pretense at refuting those arguments, but I’m not expert enough in this area to judge.

I disagree that the focus of attention of the media should determine legal issues while not denying that it does; in fact I wrote a postgraduate years ago laying out this very thesis based on a wide range of theories of communication, which I hope to revisit and put out a book on.
With that said, when, for example, I handled the case about the unconstitutional primary election of Ted Kennedy's 1982 primary election it was the Kennedy damage control machine that made the idea of his primary election being void "unthinkable" after our initial victory in obtaining Cert. We have often mused that with today's media structure things might have turned out differently. It is precisely heavy use of the media available to us outside the MSM that could make a difference here.

It matters a great deal. We’ve only ever heard about two detailed examinations and one of these, Techdude’s, has been discredited. So it would be very, very helpful in carrying on this argument to have corroboration of Polarik’s findings.
More interesting was the detailed comment by “Dumb active duty American Soldier”; did you read that?
It does not take expertise to see that the author of this supposedly refutational piece states that the Hawaii officials have said things that they have not in fact said.
That alone should raise suspicions.

- Grey and white space around lettering which is caused by superimposing text over an image.
- Embossed seal strikingly different compared with a genuine Hawaiian seal.
- A 2008 border design that is present on the Obama's COLB, which should have a 2007 border design.

Chief has most of that information as this has been discussed before. Maybe it is on the long thread.
That is calculated deception at the heart of her charge that Dr. Polarik is a fraud ... tells you a lot about an accuser when they lie to try and make a case against someone.
The COLB was posted on DailyKos, which is a strange place to host what claims to be Obama’s proof of Hawaiian birth. Why wasn’t it posted on Obama’s website from the beginning? Why was the DailyKos even involved?
The COLB had the serial number blacked out. Why? If the COLB was supposed to be proof of Obama’s Hawaiian birth, why black out the serial number? That alteration of the COLB image made the COLB legally invalid, so why would they do that?
Why wasn’t the COLB made physically available from the beginning? Why provide the COLB to Factcheck which is associated with Obama, but not make it widely available?
This whole situation smells like they are trying to pull a fast one, and that is even before the technical details regarding forgery are even considered.
