Yes, those are valid observations. I very much admit that I am a “prodigal son” who returned to the Church 15 years ago after my last divorce - and no subsequent re-marriage has ever been a consideration. Feel free to bust my balls if you feel like you need to, but those are the facts. I do my best to share my faith with my now teenage children and have done so throughout their lives. The ACORN contributions have now been halted, yes, but I’m not even sure if it’s a permanent stop to it. In any case, the damage has already been done and can’t be undone. The bishops have, in my opinion, betrayed us.
