Obama Admits His Reps Talked To Team Blagojevich
The Strata-Sphere ^ | Dec ember 11, 2008 | A.J. Strata

Obama has admitted two things today regarding the spreading scandal engulfing Governor Rod Blagojevich:

Team Obama did have contact with Team Blagojevich recently, and Obama is not making a firm denial of wrong doing. Instead he is expressing ‘confidence’ there was no wrong doing.

While the liberal rags (thank god these dinosaurs are facing financial extinction) keep trying to spin the fact Obama did not participate directly in discussions, we know members of the team are the responsibility of the team leader (thus Bush is responsible for Libby, etc). What is important is how the teams communicated, not what Obama said directly to Blagojevich.

Here is the stunning admission just coming out now:

Obama said he had never spoken to Blagojevich about the vacancy and was confident that none of his representatives would have any involvement in any scheme. Obama said he has asked his team to gather facts about any contacts to share over the next few days.

“Share”? Odd choice of words (it is not a quote). The title of this little piece is “Obama says no contact with Blagojevich” - more Clintonesque parsing of words to hide the sad truth. It really must be bad for this word smything to be starting so soon.

Here is another ‘version’ of Obama’s tap dance recital this morning:

“I have never spoken to the governor on this subject,” Obama said, adding that he has asked his staff to collect the facts about their contact with Blagojevich on the matter.

What “subject” are we discussing here? Did anyone from the lame-stream media follow up? I did find this tidbit interesting:

Obama said neither he nor his staff had been contacted by federal officials in connection with the probe.

I wonder why they have not been contacted? Jesse Jackson, Jr has been given the opportunity to work with authorities. Why is his staff not collecting information for the Federal Investigation? This confirms the news Obama heard the news with the rest of America - an odd thing to do to a new President coming into office.

One would think the Feds would give them a heads up, or would check with Team Obama to make sure those DC advisors caught on the 2 hour conference call were not part of, or connected to, Team Obama. Seems sort of obvious. Unless the Feds know the answer already.

I suspect we might be seeing a lot more tap dancing and finger wagging before January.

Update: Finally found actual quotes instead of news media translations (a.k.a. spin):

“I had no contact with the governor’s office. I did not speak to the governor about these issues. That I know for certain.”

OK, what about aids and emissaries and intermediaries?

In response to a reporter’s question, Obama said, “What I’m absolutely certain about is that our office had no involvement in any deal-making …That would be a violation of everything this campaign has been about.”

What ‘office’ are you referring to Senator? Again, an odd choice of words.

“I have asked my team to gather the facts of any contacts” with the governor, Obama said, adding he will share that information with the public in the coming days.

What is the difference between ‘office’ and ‘team’? As we can see the news media story is not clear, despite the glaring headlines to the contrary. Can’t wait to see the video (and all the hesitation and stuttering).

Just my own speculation...but he might have had a phone conversation and realize now that the tape might be out there. He may have Blago’s wife to contend with too....I think Blago might be willing to take a small fall for the Obama....but she won’t. There might be volumes of books to come out in the next month with various facts that we weren’t expecting. The birth certificate stuff....was small beans compared to this.

Thanks for the link.

It appears one of O’s problems may be that as the front man, he isn’t always aware of the strings his handlers are pulling in the background.
Then again, he may be a pathological liar.

“stunning admission”?? Did anybody but the most self-deluded RAT actually think Obama and his team weren’t in on the selling of his Senate seat? I hope Bagjob rats out the whole RAT party.

Watergate was a “dirty tricks” break-in at the Democrats HQ in D.C. and the ensuing cover-up. This is pay-for-play, bribery, obstruction of justice, intimidation, selling a U.S. Senate seat belonging to the incoming president, a sitting congressman trying to buy said seat, 4-5 other “candidates” bidding on it, attempting to muzzle the press and whatever involvement Senator Obama had in the mess.

Bigger than Watergate, yes. Here you have collusion, yes collusion to sell a senate seat, one of 100 most influential people in this country that affect all our lives for money, gifts, deeds, whatever you want to call them. That is much bigger than a third rate political burglary. It is quite scary some see this as not that big of a deal.

Naaa, not on this one anyway. You can bet your last nickle that Zero was up to speed on everything that was going on with who was going to get his senate seat.

Bingo.

And Prosecutor Fitzgerald would sell his children to be the only man in history to indict a President-Elect.

Team Hussein better have somebody in Fitzgeralds office RFN spilling every single detail of every single contact he's had with Blago since the election.

Fitzgerald practically begged them to in his presser the other day.

Try...Blago may have to take a small fall for the Obama...but he won't let that happen to his wife. So...what does he do...?

Much bigger than watergate. Also, this is so big that the media absolutely can NOT ignore it and be taken seriously.

Further, it is very obvious that there is much more information to come forward. The press may be writing their own obituary coming to 0’s rescue so early. The fact that JJJ apparentle knew this was going down but 0 has explicitly said he did not strongly implies that before this is done he will be officially implicated.

This is amazing. Yet again we are watching history being made before our very eyes.

Probably not. He was the Chicago machine's choice to run for Prez, and lost that spot to Obama, so there isn't much love there.

To get an Independent Counsel or Special Prosecutor or whatever they’re called — what’s the procedure? Should I write my congressman?
