I hear Cheney watches the abuse tapes and sometimes directs
the uncomfortableness and waterboarding in real time through
a web cam. Hitler~esque ehhh?
I hear that guard a-comin’
She’s comin’ round the bend
Bringin’ women’s undies for us Al Quaeda men
I’m stuck in Abu Grahib
And time keeps dragging by
My spirit’s mighty low
But at least my heels are high
When I joined the Jihad
I thought that we would win
But I got caught by the infidels
And locked up in this pen
I’m stuck in Abu Grahib
And all my friends are dead
I’m rottin’ in this prison
With panties on my head
I’ve been a real good muslim
I pray five times a day
If I see a woman’s ankle
I quickly look away
I’m here in Abu Grahib
And it’s against my will
I wish they’d turn me loose
I got women and kids to kill
Singing the Abu Grahib Blues ala Folsom Prison
You have a point there. Obama may not do as much damage as we expected simply because he’s on course to get impeached before his inauguration!
Isn’t the Senate’s fault? After all, they authorized and funded the war in Iraq.
The problem here is that I don't want our military having to second-guess who they round up in a war zone. By rounding up many, many innocents to catch a bad guy (one of our tactics), we have an obligation to treat the detainees as if they are innocents, else who are we to tell them how great a constitutional democratic republic is?
And when we're passing out money for people to turn in "terrorists" and find out that they are simply turning in people they don't like, such as rivals, how do you win hearts and minds if you treat those detainees like terrorists before you've even investigated things?
I think that most FReepers forget that we release tens of thousands as "oops, you aren't the guy we're looking for. Even in Gitmo, we've had innocents held for a long period of time (not just Ahmed Errachidi).
I don't want our military to have to stop and be sure they have the right person up front, but that means being responsible after the detention.
Rumsfeld Accepts Responsibility for Abu Ghraib May 7, 2004
They can shove their "report" where the sun don't shine.
But no mention of Nick Berg and the American POWs who were tortured beyond all recognition.
Your are an arrogant SOB, Juan. We didn't vote for you. We voted for Governor Palin.
Politicians are the lowest form of scum known to man. They would sell their wives and daughters into prostitution if it would get their name in the news. I can’t believe how much damage they are doing to this country with their greed, stupidity and corruption.
WWII - Enemy Combatants.
You capture them, your interrogate them, you shoot them.
I miss the good old days.
When will “Se-nut” find Islam tied to terror?
This latest report is nothing more than posturing and continuing the witch hunt. How do they “tie” Rumsfeld to it when he stood up and accepted responsibility on his own 4 years ago?
Under his direction, the guilty were investigated, tried and convicted.
Just liberals trying to finalize their bashing of a good president and his administration, led by our Supreme RINO, McLame.
It only got tepid support at best, once Sarah Palin was named. We didn’t want him!
Carl Levin does not respect our military and should have been removed from the Senate long ago. He is not a patriot.
**cyring...laughing so hard**
Tell me there’s a video or recording of someone singing that tune. Phenomenal.
I don't think he cares what you or I think of him. Being invited to all the right (read: elite lefty) parties in Washington is what matters to him, IMHO. I tried to let him represent all the Vietnam Vets while he was running, despite despising him. Now I can return to purely despising him.
I'm going to join you.
Me too.
Congratulations to Secretary Rumsfeld for doing what was RIGHT! The so called abuse at Abu Ghrab like panties over the heads of Scumbag Terrorists was LESS than the average Sorority/Fraternity Jinxes! This was DEMORAT TREASON trying to embaress and discredit the U.S. and to aid and abet THE ENEMY! Screw McCain and Levin, let them go help IMANUTJOB:-)
