It makes my blood boil when I see the BushBots flock to these threads and try to make it appear that Dubya has been a good Preident. Dubya has been a disaster for our country, state and the GOP — and now our economy. Only a BushBot would blindly continue to deny that.

I will never, ever vote for another Bushie for any office no matter who they run against.

Now, I know that many of those who post pro-Bushie messages on these threads are connected to the Bushies and the GOP and are sent here for that purpose. Tell Dubya to get back to Crawford or Dallas before he does any more damage.

The lines in his face are deeply etched. I think the financial collapse and the ascendancy of Obama weigh very heavily on his mind.

Whatever personal disappointments we've had with his administration, I believe none of us can argue that the man wanted us to be safe and lacking "consensus" from the international community, struck out on his own in order to achieve that goal. He's kept our sorry, ungrateful bums safe for the past 7 years, though honestly, there have been times when I wondered why he even bothered.

He dragged us back out of the depths. Terrorists are running away. I thank God for him, may God bless and keep him.

True. But I wonder how helpful the downthread part really is.

How helpful is knowing little comments like, "Ahmish again! /sarc" or "Guilty!" or "Bush is a sellout!" or "Nobama isn't my president!" or "Don't blame me I voted for Duncan."

In general, FR is little more than a way to "have your say" on Drudge Report articles.

There's very little original posted other than what the MSM determine we should discuss.

What might be interesting is a site that merely allows posting of ACTIONS regarding articles/topics.

For example an article on a leftist could be posted, and his office phone could be posted, and the more pings it gets (and the calls made) the more it gets bttt.

My point is that there's little "direct action" created by FR. In fact, posters' motivation to act in the real political world is probably reduced once they have their say in a FR post.

Ronald Wilson Reagan would've lost to Barry Hussein in a landslide in 2008.

The Reagan Democrats have been replaced by Katrina and Detroit union saps. The social conservatives would reject him on abortions, border conservatives would punish him for amnesty, etc etc. The press would play him as an incurious oaf, but Olberman and Jon stewart types would rip into his good humour demeanor. He'd get destroyed today.
