I am going to be interviewed on Pat Dollard's radio show tonight concernign events surrounding the Iranian Revolution and events leading up to the Hostage Rescue Attempt in Iran. The show is a 2200 Eastern and 1900 Pacific time

that's 10 PM Eastern and 7 PM eastern for you civilian types.

Served and trained with SSGT Johnson (Dewey), a fine Marine, and good friend, used to bring back from home some of the best “shine” I ever had. God speed Dewey!
PS never did understand why they did not use Marine 53’s with the EEPS barrels, (Giant air filters) could have used and then discarded internal tanks. Alas...

Everybody was given a piece of the pie, thus the Marine Corps Sea Stallions were left at home and the Navy RH-53s were substituted.

RH-53’s had longer range and better blades and also were easier to slip onto a Carrier as Mine Sweepers and keep COMSEC than an additional 53 Squadron

Your picture clearly shows not only EAPS Barrels but internal fuel tanks as well

great catch, I didnt study it, but the EAPS system in on the deck and so are the internal tanks
