I don’t understand this theory that if a sale of the best fighter aircraft we have is going to be concluded, much less utilized in any perceived attack Israel may or may not conduct before January 20th...
The plan if any has been set for years...The pilots train for it, the “stars” plan it, logistically and the feasibility of a military action...(Everyone does this)...
So why would they mess the plan up by introducing a weapon system that no one knows how to operate effectively enough to push it right into a battle plan that could be given the word go at a moments notice???
If they eventually get the F-22, fine...They’ll probably use it as a stealth refueling aircraft...(joking)...
My armchair opinion is that nothing is going to happen here...The opportunity has come and passed...
What will probably happen is a truck will be loaded up and someone will drive a functional device thru to a target, Alah Akbarrr, and boom...
What happens after that is anyones guess...
“Israel been a little lose . . . “
I am the biggest defender of Israel around. Married an Israeli, will soon be an Israeli myself, intend to raise my daughters there, etc.
But, yeah, I agree. Actions have consequences.
I’d add Japan to that list.
Why not Japan?
Don’t sell it to japan if you don’t want China to have it the next day. Japan is bad at keeping secrets and China is all over them with spies
You forgot the only nation with a realistic budget to afford a decent number of Raptors-Japan.Leaving out Israel, the rest can only afford pipedreams given their skewed spending priorities.
The only ones that you listed that should get them are Japan, and Australia (to help keep China in check).
The only other ones who I think should get them are Israel, and the U.K.
As for the rest of them, they can pound sand especially saudi, egypt, turkey, UAE, etc.
I didn’t think you meant disrespect, and appreciate your post.
You mean the GBU-39?
It's already in LRIP.
I know. You simply wanted others opinions on who should have the plane.
I'll second that. Once our enemies get a peek at the technology, it's value is degraded.
Of course, if the rumors are true, the F22 is not as stealthy as many think it is.
Remember Toshiba and the Russians? (And, when I wrote that, I was thinking of the incident in the 1980s http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=940DE4DE153CF937A25750C0A96E948260 but apparently, they make a habit of it:
http://www.redorbit.com/news/business/279551/toshiba_employee_sells_data_to_russia/ So I'd no more trust the Japanese with our technology than I'd trust the Israelis. Both of them have proven to be unworthy.
One hundred plus Raptors should be destined for Australia. My home country sorely needs them. Designated the F-22EMA (Export Model Australia).
By the way, I am curious as to which rumors you are talking about.
