In light of what The Community Organizer of Kenya has in store for those who believe the Founders knew what they were doing regarding the right to bear arms, there is an effort to have a massive book buy of Stephen Halbrook's book today to shoot up the ratings and send a message.
I don't have a recommendation, but I'm looking at the reviews to decide if it might make a good Christmas present.
Dr. Stephen P. Halbrook, a leading Second Amendment scholar and attorney, played a key role in this years landmark pro-gun ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court (District of Columbia v. Heller, 2008).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The winner of three gun-rights cases before the U.S. Supreme Court (Printz v. United States, United States v. Thompson/Center Arms Company, and Castillo v. United States), Dr. Stephen P. Halbrook is Research Fellow at The Independent Institute. He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and Ph.D. in social philosophy from Florida State University, and he has taught legal and political philosophy at George Mason University, Howard University, and Tuskegee Institute.
A contributor to numerous scholarly volumes and journals, Dr. Halbrook is the author of eight books, and he has testified before the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution, Subcommittee on Crime of the House Judiciary Committee, Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, and House Committee on the District of Columbia.
I just ordered this book this AM. Looking forward to reading it.
I have a copy of the book and just started reading it. It looks like a good read, something along the line of history. Which is what I like.
BTW, I knew the author’s parents and siblings, although I have never met him. His parents were solid conservatives.
—bought mine about a month ago or I’d join the attempt—
Either your program is working, or Amazon is suppressing sales of it:-)
Just checked and they say it is not available, will put you on the waiting list....
Will Keep looking. I have a couple of other books by same author and they are very good.
