Pro-Life Rick Warren to Give Invocation at Obama Inauguration
CBNnews ^ | 12/17/08 | David Brody

Posted on 12/17/2008 10:53:08 AM PST by NormsRevenge

Pro-life pastor Rick Warren will give the invocation at President-Elect Barack Obama’s inauguration. It makes a whole lot of sense. Even though Warren and Obama disagree on the life issue, they do see eye to eye on many social justice issues. This move is also classic Obama because it is a signal to religious conservatives that he’s willing to bring in both sides to the faith discussion in this country. Obama has never shied away from that.

The benediction will be led by Reverend Dr. Joseph E. Lowery. The Civil Rights leader seems to be the perfect pick on such an historic day in this nation’s history. Watch Reverend Lowery preach with Barack Obama watching here.

The full program is below: (by the way, The Brody File was not asked to take part in the ceremony. I wanted to read some of the "Best of The Brody File" blog entries but they said thanks but no thanks)

0bama supports outright INFANTICIDE.

He should be shunned by anyone that does not also support INFANTICIDE.

“He should be shunned by anyone that does not also support INFANTICIDE”

Then what is Rick Warren doing there?

The first time I heard of their connection, I quit believing anything Rick Warren had to say. he is part of the rot that has infested the Christian community for some time.

What Obama has in mind is to use religious socialists to move his socialist agenda.

Pray for them, yes! try to convert them, yes! Recognize their authority over you, yes!

Support them and give them credence, no!

Rick Warren is their to just cover up the smell. Front man and a shill for a corrupt presidency.

Jesus ate with publicans and sinners.

I don't think anyone would object if Warren shared a meal with Obama. This public display can be interpreted as an endorsement. However, if Rick Warren uses the occasion of this invocation to call upon God to protect the pre-born, then he will be seen as having done the right thing.

He’s associated with the “emerging church” movement,
which is kind of an Oprahized Christianity - lots of heresy.

Jesus isn’t the only way to God,
Jesus may or may not have been divine, doesn’t matter,
lots of other stuff.

Disgusting duplicity on Rick’s part. Perhaps Pastor Warren didn’t comprehend the signifigance of his own question he asked of the affirmative action fraud at Saddeleback forum. He certainly could not comprehend the depth of deceit in Obama’s response ... surely. Seems Warren is more concerned with his own empowerment than the truth of LIFE. Satan has lots of help in that regard ...

I’m afraid Colin Powell was also speaking to the masses when he said on Sunday that “people have to give up the small town mentality; most of us live in big cities.” Obama is definitely on board with that in his pro-abortion stance.

Specious argument. Eating dinner with someone does not necessarily validate that person's actions or beliefs; being part of someone's swearing-in ceremony does exactly that. If an active member of the KKK wanted to Rick Warren to swear him in as a judge or politician, RW would decline. Rick Warren should have declined any part of Obama’s inauguration. (Am I comparing Obama to a member of the KKK...you betcha!)
