Inauguration Team for Obama Stirs Prop 8 Fears After Choosing OC Pastor

A largely known Prop 8 proponent has been selected to do President-Elect Barack Obama's inauguration invocation on January 20. Rick Warren of Lake Forest's Saddleback Church was chosen by the Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, which is causing the LGBT community to go a little nutsy on the blogosphere.

"As we've pointed out several times before, in 2004 Warren declared that marriage, reproductive choice, and stem cell research were "non-negotiable" issues for Christian voters," wrote a blogger at Right Wing Watch. "[He] has admitted that the main difference between himself and James Dobson is a matter of tone. He criticized Obama's answers at the Faith Forum he hosted before the election and vowed to continue to pressure him to change his views on the issue of reproductive choice."

Homosexual lobby is losing it. Let's see them protest Obama. That would insure Black Community will never vote for Homosexual Marriage.

Obama is so unprepared to become President, that he is going to be offending his base almost as much as he will us. It’s going to be a real hoot to watch the leftists simmer over his blunders.

If he gets over 40% of the vote in 2012, I’ll be surprised.

Do you think the pick shows any agreement with Rick Warren on social issues?

I see it as pandering to Christians. His views will remain the same.

No, he simply doesn’t give a damn what the gays think. No matter how hard he screws them, they will still vote for him.

What are they gonna do, vote Repub? LOL....

I want to see the HOMOSEXUALS lose it. Protesting and everything. It will show the rest of America how nutty they are.

Although there was another post that said he booked a homosexual band for the inauguration. Guess he’s trying to please everyone. It will all backfire at some point though.

It is a very good political choice for Obama. Makes him look like he has support from this fool known as Rick Warren.

As a Christian, the last thing I would do is lend credibility to someone whose positions on the issues are so Un-Christ like.

All this does is make Warren seem that much more of a self-serving hypocrite to any serious thinkers.

EX-pro-life pastor Rick Warren will “pray” at the inauguration of the Maoist baby-killer illegal alien.

The intolerance of the Hate8 crowd is amusing. They cannot stand any one who believes in traditional values. I love seeing them get hoist on their own petard.

Who (outside of San Francisco and West Hollywood) relies on the gay vote to win elections? Obama knows it was not the gay vote that put him over the top. Why should he bend over for their perversions?
