On Thursdays The View, co-host Joy Behar expressed her displeasure at President-Elect Barack Obamas choice of Rick Warren for the invocation at his inauguration: I dont think its appropriate. Its like putting, you know, Cheney in charge of gun control. Its wrong....its just wrong.
The topic of Obama choosing Warren came up during the regular opening Hot Topics segment of the ABC daytime program. Whoopi Goldberg, who moderated the segment, introduced the controversy behind this choice: ...[A] lot of folks are opposed to this gentleman: gay -- because he opposes gay marriage, hes anti-abortion -- hes got a lot of different stances. Theres a lot of people saying hes a bad choice.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck was the first co-host to come to Warrens defense: I think hes a great choice. He held the forum -- remember when he did the forum between McCain and Obama during the election? He sat them down and had the faith forum, which I found was great during our times right now. And I think that hell -- I think hell do a great job. Hes got an incredible following, hes a strong speaker.

Rick Warren is about as mainstream and uncontroversial as you can get. The fact the that the left is having a hissy fit over him says alot more about them than it does Rick Warren.
Joy Beh-itch.................
I think that The View being taken as serious political commentary is one of the biblical signs of armageddon.

What do they have against Rick Warren?
He was okay to host the cadidates — or is that the problem — he wasn’t pro-rat like the reliable media?
This shriveled up old hag is a Liberal bigot, pure and simple. She hates Christians, she hates anyone from Middle America who might hold conservative values. She hates any Republican. And she sits on that show and spouts her bigotry every day.
Cry me a river, Joy Beehive
Thanks, the thought of this made me smile :-)
GGGRRRRR....you’d think this pastor was being appointed to the cabinet rather than having 5-10 minutes at a what will undoubtedly be a cold and miserable day in DC. Besides, the audience will have a prime opportunity to do things like boo him, through shoes at him, and turn their backs on him. They should look at it as an opportunity to be their usual ugly selves.
Cheney shot a lawyer. Works for me...
Just-not-feelin’-the-Messiah-love ping
Cheney shot a lawyer. Works for me...
The biggest bulwark against Satan is the institution of the family. Guess what institution the two sacraments of liberalism are most destructive to...
“...’Cheney in Charge of Gun Control’”
Love the Cheney...he will be missed.
I’m pleased that Joyce is disillusioned with the Dalibama already. It makes me smile.
Of course Joy and the girls are very liberal.
The only clergy allowable by them for Obama’s inaugural would be the open homosexual Gene Robinson, who was the first openly homosexual Episcopal bishop in America. He would be ok, or some random clergy from the gay Metropolitan Community Church.
Yep it says a lot when you are attacked as a hateful bigot if you oppose homosexual marriage and you oppose “women’s health” if you oppose abortion.
WELL YU ARE MY WINNER OF THE DAY. Those two words are so descriptive. And so 60’s. LOL The only thing I might add is that she is an OLD douche bag. LOL
