Something else for Al Gore to worry about
December 19, 2008
letter to the editor
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I have detected a new crisis that I have named "the daylight change crisis". I first noticed it sometime around the end of June this year. I started paying attention and created computer models and sure enough I was right! We are losing daylight at an astonishing rate. Each day we are losing approximately 2 minutes of day light and my computer models predict total darkness by next July.
I have been able to detect this phenomenon around the entire Northern Hemisphere. And here is the scary part: the day light appears to be leaking to the Southern Hemisphere.
I thought I should bring it to the attention of great scientists like Al Gore so he can help solve this new crisis.

Hysterical post.
Thanks. I appreciate it as I observe the fruits of “Global Warming” covering my house, my property, my neighbors property and actually for as far as my eyes can see.
I'll have to get up sometime around Oh Dark Thirty with my anti global warming devices for a bit of strenuous activity before I head over to work and slave over a globally excessive warmed desk.
I hate working Saturdays.

I think you are on to something really important here that I, and others, had not considered before; the relationship to car driving and the loss of sunlight.
So, when we drive our cars, we are causing the loss of sunlight? But, by driving we are causing global warming. therefore, the two should cancel each other out. EXCEPT, driving earlier in the days seems to bring out the sun, thus contributing to global warming. I think we should begin restricting the amount of sunlight in certain areas.
However, until that happens,I am going to write my PHD thesis on this phenomenon. afterward, I will start a foundation, write a book, start a cult. and retire early.

“the over abundance of that toxic liquid dihydrogenoxygen ( nasty lethal killer that it is) we are all doomed.”
You realize, of course, that this toxic liquid is an acid that can dissolve anything on this earth. I may be wrong but I believe that it is the only substance that everything is soluble in. Based upon this knowledge, this substance should be banned. Banned primarily to save the children. Hundreds of children the world over die in this toxic liquid every year.

Oh! but it not just the minutes that are leaking into the southern hemisphere, it is the daylight that is going with the minutes. We will be in total darkness and no time left to fix the problems. Can the Southern hemisphere find place to store that much extra sunlight? Will they want to sell it back to us, much like they do now with oil? I'm confused and very concerned. The time leakage will be especially had hit on the children. They will grow old faster in the northern hemisphere than in the southern, requiring them to taken on adult repsonsiblilities before they are ready; you know, at about age 35. Not to worry, daylight can be bagged up and used again. It takes a special bag but I just happen to have many of these special bags that will contain daylight. If you run out here you can take the special bag to Australia and return with enough daylight to last for years. Each one of my daylight holding bags will hold enough daylight for 10 years and will cover a 100 square mile area.I can sell you 100 of these bags for the very low sum of $2500.00 bucks per bag. If you buy a 1000 I can cut the price down to $1500 per bag.
I am also selling Daylight credits.

Actually there has been a correlation between rising early and the onset of sunrise. If you set your clock for Precisely 6 Am every day from now until, say, Jan 26, 2009, you will notice a significant increase in the amount of daylight hours, whether or not you drive a car! Try it, it works, and I am giving this advice free of charge.

You're scaring us. This can't be. We need a lot of tax money to study this and even more to solve. Maybe once we produce and consume less some time is gained. What about the simultaneous warming in the southern hemisphere. Oh migh does this mean there will be an inferno down and under. This all doesn't bode well. Maybe we need a brighter than bright person to solve this all, some ... supernatural creature, an IT. Can we produce IT with stem-cell recombination or something. HELP.

“And The Obama will save us. Praise be..”
Just by his election has he saved us. . . By his own statements that history will record the world began to cool(or is that it began to be cool; kind of racist thing?) the oceans began to recede. . .
But he did not say anything about the reverse polarity of the accumulation of negative solar energy, and the loss of time. Praise be to The Obama!
By the way, how are we to address him non-verbally?
Hitler used the one armed raised and extended. Catholics use the shoulder to shoulder to forehead to chest. Maybe we should use the ‘big O’. We could put our hands together, thumb to thumb forefinger to forefinger, but I propose we drop our pants to our bare butts, bend over and spread our cheeks. that would be the proper greeting of The Big O. Jus my opinion, pleas don take offense

You're giving this for free but want to sell me a bag of daylight for $2,500? Where is you sense of proportion, man. Is this just a loss leader. If there is money to be made, I want part of it but don't giving this stuff away for free.

I'll gladly refund whatever money you sent me.I sent you $25 last time - and what did I get for it? Bubkiss. At least I can get a return from calex59.
I am also selling Daylight credits.
Count me in. If I don't start seeing more daylight in the next few days, I'll have to start shopping for a tanning spa.
