Suprisingly critical report from the LA Times political blogger. It's only the blogger, but compared how little skepticism the rest of the MSM is treating the report with it's a breath of fresh air.

And the beat go’s on. This is so completely obvious only the MSM could not figger it out. What a bunch of useless idiots. Hannity was right journalism is dead. This is pure propaganda.

The headline alone is more honest than the rest of the news reports I have seen so far. My hope of hopes is that the Governor’s defense team decides that it is in his interest to start leaking facts to place the attention on somebody more newsworthy. ;^)

Dominant media`s in the tank. Imagine the uproar if Cheney investigated himself over something equally similar and pronounced himself innocent !?
The left-wing media would excoriate him and demand a special counsel to investigate.
So debilitating and demoralizing to think this is just the beginning of how bad it`s gonna get.

There may, however, be some future amendments. The Obama team did not keep phone logs, so their contact list was developed from memory, which may or may not match the federal wiretap chronology if it's ever released.

Its becoming increasingly comedic.

Meanwhile, Governor Blago’s team has released a report absolving him of any wrongdoing...
We are now waiting to hear from the Charles Manson team’s report...

Nixon oculd have done four times as well. I’m sure that Halderman, Ehrlichman, Mitchell and Dean all four would have cleared him, with no need for Archibald Cox, Carl Bernstein, or Bob Woodward. I guess the GOP will never catch up with the Dems on handling their own corruption (and I’m proud of that).

President-elect Barack Obama's transition office said in a report released Tuesday that its staff had no inappropriate communications with the office of Democratic Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who is at the center of a corruption probe.

Anyone know if Fitz’s office has publicly said they asked Obama to hold the release of the report for a few days??

Why do I still believe this assessment of the situation to be totally improbable?
Because how much credibility does it really imply?

Reminds me of my grandchildren being asked if they poopied in their pants, watching them look briefly, and saying “No!” even though there was a loaf present.
So Obami checked Obami’s drawers, looked at Obami’s mess, and Obami said there was nothing there. Guess I can believe him, can’t I?

Mom, we kids investigated and none of us had a party last night while you were out, so we’re not responsible for the trashed house and the empty beer kegs.

Suprisingly critical report from the LA Times political blogger. I wonder how long it took them to figure out the "BLue Heart Jewel" craze was crap, too.

I rubbed my eyes, and read it again. Yep. The LA Times.

Andrew Malcolm is a very intelligent guy with a ton of experience and a more critical eye than a lot of other reporters, and he's also a really nice guy to talk to in person. Good to see this article from him.
