No surprise here. It is now the 21st Century. Nation states will cease to exist and a global body will control all former nations.

At the risk of being viewed as a conspiracy buff I can see how a manufactured economic crisis can be used to incite resistance to suspension of the Constitution. Of course the Second Amendment must be abolished as a priority.

Any gun lovers out there? Watch out. You may wake up one day soon and discover that you are a recalcitrant enemy of public order. May God help us all.

Well, they’ll need an army to protect the rioters from me if they venture onto my property.

Why aren’t the Kent State liberals protesting this? The Obama kool aid must be potent stuff.

“civil unrest brought about by a worsening economic crisis.”

Absolutely not true. The damn “civil unrest” is being brought about by the traitorous, corrupt and incompetent nincompoops that have been running our country and stealing our treasures, as well as the future of our children.

Now the same crooks are preparing to use our own military to kill us should we complain too loudly.

Let it begin, I for one am ready. If this must be, then let it be in my lifetime, so that my grandchildren may know freedom.

I know, I know, I am shooting from the hip and yelling into the darkness, but I am so damn sick of those crooks, and damnit, I WANT JUSTICE.

Gotta add my voice to this chorus. I think it is a "future echo" of what is coming this spring/summer.

Merry Christmas, and God bless us, every one. Praise the Lord, and stock up on ammunition.

Yes, I saw it as well. (((rewrapping the reams of Reynold’s wrap I tore out making this hat))). Hat or not I would like to know more about Hussien’s Civilian Defense Corps.

A Ret Light Col writes a piece at the Army War COllege.

FReeks are assuming JBT are at the door.

Duuuudes, chill. It is a big leap to get from one to the other. With hundreds of thousands of Vietnam and Desert war vets still out and about, it’s a lep they won’t make.

Now, if the slo-motion riots that are the urban cesspits of America heat up (Watts, Detroit, LA, etc) then I expect force to be used - National Guard like in NO, at most.

If things get that bad, time to head for the lifeboats.....

I think I’m ready to begin shopping around for a deserted island to move to.

Smart move, I already have.

"But a 1994 Defense Department Directive allows military commanders to take emergency actions in domestic situations to save lives, prevent suffering or mitigate great property damage, according to the Business Journal."

It appears that "constitutionalists" and rabble-rousing "journalists" have forgotten much older provisions in our Constitution (see "insurrections" and "insurrection").

I totally agree. However, preparing for the worst is not a bad idea. Just don’t let paranoia consume you, though.

If they don’t stop all these bailouts, I’m afraid they’ll get their ‘domestic disturbances’ and then some.

You have it completely backwards. The local police state govt was trampling 2nd and 14th amendment rights in NOLA until the NG troops showed up and explained it to the cops. Go check it out with the NRA. Read the book titled The Great New Orleans Gun Grab. It will open your eyes to what we are facing. While the military rescued us from corrupt local govt and the corrupt cops, I just don’t know if the same can be said under Obama. I doubt it.

The problem is that the Army isn’t big enough to hold more than a few large cities. And in the case of really severe internal civil strife the troops would have to worry about revenge being taken upon their own family members. I believe many would desert rather than fire on US citizens at the behest of a self-appointed dictator.

It’s a mistake to grant very much competence to the evil fools who would try to use the Army this way. All bets are off in this situation. Think about it. Is a US Soldier ready to face several million armed citizens? Even with a citizenry armed “only” with hunting rifles I’m afraid it wouldn’t be the slam dunk some psychopathic politician might think it would be.

You better have a good plan that includes figuring out what to do when your home is shot full of tear gas.

I’ve just lost all respect for Franks.

Discard the Constitution?

Allowing Posse Comitatus to be eviscerated?

I’m sorry, people who hold such views and/or allow such things to happen are traitors...period.

I don’t care how many stars they have on their shoulders. He’s a disgrace to the uniform he once wore for believing and saying such a thing.

How many to contain 320mil people over the vast majority of North America...in possession of over 300million firearms? I think 300 million firearms is a huge conservative number. I think in reality it's MUCH more. For every registered firearm there are probably 10 that are not. Handmade, purchased prior to needing registration, old military that could be purchased in army surplus stores years ago, collections handed down, inherited. I read that ammo is sold out almost everywhere so I went online and looked. Almost every site, AR 15 AK 47 GONE. Bulk of 1000 seems to be the biggest seller. Doesn't matter how many weapons you have if you run our of ammo and I think they are well stocked up by now. God forbid it would ever come to that, but you never know. With our open borders, I think everyone should have at least one for self defense.

I agree. Prepare for the worst, watch for signs and pray that it never happens. What else can you do? You tube has some very good videos on what to have on stock and how to prepare should this ever happen, or if there were ever a bio attack, etc.

The National Guard in NOLA were jack booted thugs who disarmed law-abiding citizens.

I’ll be d*mned if I allow anyone wearing ANY uniform to disarm me.

What are you? An authority-lover gubmint-worshiper?
