Sarah Palin 2009 Calendar Amazon Best Seller
Newsbusters ^ | Dec 27,2008 | Noel Sheppard

The media and Democrats might hate Sarah Palin, but her 2009 calendar is currently the number one best selling office product at Amazon.com.

Just imagine how this must be galling liberal press members who can't understand her popularity.

Of course, the cynic -- or the realist depending on your point of view -- might believe that media very much understand why she's so popular, and that's why they hate her so much.

Regardless, some more pictures from her calendar are below the fold:

Yes, they are afraid. They know that during her relatively brief time on the national stage, 35 million tuned in to see her acceptance speech, 74 million tuned in to see her debate Biden, and during the 80+ rallies she held with McCain or separately, hundreds of thousands turned out even after she was subject to the savaging of the media. Thousands more turned out to see her in Georgia. They know she resonates with a lot of people here in flyover country, and is developing quite a grassroots following. They have every reason to be afraid of her.

Staged AND Photoshopped. Her body language screams out self-centerdness and fake non-chalance. She’s an actor, but a bad one. Any photographer that could get that shot could’ve been an assasin with a different shot in mind.

Yo! You mean the most admired woman, Hillary, isn't issuing a calendar also?

Great point you make. It’s an outright shame the way Sarah was and still is being treated. But I’m glad most Americans love and admire her, no matter what the MSM and GOP snobs say about her.

The photographer, Judy Patrick, is a close personal friend of the gov. She was a member of Palin's mayoral team in Wasilla.

Judy Patrick was mentioned in Kaylene Johnson's biography of Palin. During Palin's ultimately unsuccessful run for lieutenant governor in 2002, her little campaign staff, which basically consisted of a handful of her friends, tried to figure out some cheap way to get their message out there:

Patrick ran off business-card size copies of Sarah's picture with a short campaign message on the back. "We were so low budget. Since she's so attractive, I thought we should use our assets. Everyone wanted her picture."

I think a lot of the photos in this calendar were taken by Patrick at that time and perhaps also during the 2006 race.

I'm not sure if you realize that Margaret Thatcher was also called a "populist." Populism isn't a dirty word, and it's not ipso facto unconservative.

But perhaps you don't understand these things. People are so terribly dumbed down. They know nothing of history.

You and I are on the same thought....I think I posted awhile back that when this little”dictator in waiting” has been in office awhile, he'll simply declare himself in power...and if it doesn't play out that way,he can always steal the election. Coming from the sewers of the Chicago gang of thugs and cheered on by his HATE AMERICA wife.....the skies the limit. I think all we have to do is look at Chavez/Venezuala (sp). I think Hussein Obama is a carbon copy of that jerk....and for sure, “the one” is going to be our worst nightmare. Having said that, never the less, I hope I'm wrong, I hope he actually can get us back on keel without turning us completely Marxist/Communist....but I can't bear to watch him, let alone listen, when he comes on the TV. I change channels quick. He makes me sick...the people in our country who fell for his line and voted for him like a bunch of sheep make me ill....and I fear they will live every day of their lives to regret their vote for that man. Unfortunatly, the rest of us will also. Please excuse no paragraphs...they don't want to come up on the preview.

I’ll hand it to you. You are remarkedly consistent in your talking point that we should move on. So I vow to be as equally persistant in telling you “NO”.

Spread that reponse to your friends. I’ll support Sarah so long as she supports conservative positions. I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon nor do I see conservatives following you off that damn cliff anytime soon by deserting her.

“I'm not sure if you realize that Margaret Thatcher was also called a “populist.” Populism isn't a dirty word, and it's not ipso facto unconservative.”

People that don't know the difference will call anyone a “Populist”. Thatcher was no “Populist”. If you like a "Populist" that's your problem. I'm just pointing out what Sarah Palin is.

“But perhaps you don't understand these things. People are so terribly dumbed down. They know nothing of history. “

Why is it the people like yourself are so unoriginal? You quote me about people like yourself - “dumbed down” and proud of it. This house hold knows unrewritten history.

Fine. Make Sarah Palin your new religion.

“Spread that reponse to your friends. I’ll support Sarah so long as she supports conservative positions. I don’t foresee that changing anytime soon nor do I see conservatives following you off that damn cliff anytime soon by deserting her.”

My conservative friends could care less on your addiction to Sarah Palin. They don’t care that you don’t like the truth about Sarah Palin. You maybe as stubborn as you like in defending Sarah Palin. Conservatives won’t be supporting her. Support Populism. We truly don’t care.

I don’t think too many people would buy it, not even Bill.

I just saw a news item on FOX about the calendar, and they also mentioned she’s right behind Clinton and ahead of 0prah.

There is a rumor that Gov. Palin may be on the Alaska float in the Rose Bowl Parade.

She’s pro-gun and pro-life. I vote based on those facts. I’ve yet to find anyone who thinks like me other then me with respect to other issues, so she’s fine with me.

As I understand it, Palin is a strict constructionist. The Alaska constitution states specifically that Alaska’s minerals and natural resources are owned by the people of Alaska; therefore, earnings from those resources do belong to the people under their constitution.
