the egyptian government must be one of our most useful allies in the region. Their population might well elect the brotherhood if ever given the chance (who says free elections are always good?), but their government is secular and pragmatic as heck from what I see. I wonder if the amount of assistance they have given us (interrogations, for example) will ever be known in any detail?
Hizballah is the correct spelling (it means “Party of Allah”) but others like “Hezbollah” and “Hizbullah” are used as well.
Actually, the best spelling for Hizballah should be T-O-A-S-T ;)
This is found in Isaiah 19:
23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: 25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
According to a preacher I’ve spoken with, who believes this is end time prophecy, it looks as though Egypt and Assyria (modern day Iraq) will be allies of Israel.
"Yesterday, we heard a high-ranking Egyptian leader cast the responsibility on the victim. Can we accept such things from Arabs? Casting the responsibility for this war on the Gaza resistance is embarrassing and saddening," Nasrallah added. "Our nations call on Egypt to help."
They bomb the daylights out of Israel and when Israel retailates, the muslims cry victim. They always start the fight, then can't finish it so they end up crying about that "big mean bully" Israel who started attacking them out of the blue for no reason.
Both spellings are fine. Different Arabs will transliterate the names according to their understanding of the English letters & sometimes according to their own pronunciations of their dialects.
.
In a press conference held on Monday afternoon in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit responded to criticism by Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday, saying that "They have practically declared war on Egypt via several satellite stations. The Egyptian people reject and opposes this declaration."Interesting venue. Thanks mojito.
