U.S. to abandon Israel

U.S. Intelligence Official about Israel: "This is just the beginning".

U.S. Intelligence official "breaks silence" on Israel situation"

Homeland Security

31 December 2008: Northeast Intelligence Network director Doug Hagmann interviewed a highly-placed U.S. intelligence official late yesterday who not only confirmed rumors about escalated and more intensive Israeli military operations against the Muslim terrorists in Gaza, [but] warned of the increasing probability of abandonment of Israel by the U.S. and other Western countries based on what he termed "malicious intelligence."

"Remember that term," advised this well-placed intelligence official, "you'll be hearing it again."

"This is just the beginning," stated this intelligence official, who wished to remain anonymous. This official stated that the possibility for a much more protracted ground war is more likely today than at any other time in the past, adding that Israel is exercising her right to protect herself from her enemies in Gaza. But there is a catch, noted this official, and a big one at that: Israel could be about to lose the support of the United States.

"I have every reason to believe, based on what I've seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse."

When asked what could be worse than losing the support of the United States, he stated:

"when our administration provides more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel's defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation."

Not sure how those mean that the US is the eagle that will support Israel, but then again people can interpret revelations however they want, I suppose.

Because we will have abandoned an ally purely to political expediency. We abandoned S Vietnam in part because the political elite was unwilling to vest itself in the country, but Israelis are willing to fight and die for theirs. We would have no reason - rational or otherwise - to cease to support Israel.

Israel is not a ‘land’, it’s a people.

That's funny. I distinctly recall this place on a map called Israel, that people fight over all the time.

Well I agree, but I fail to see how it neccessarily means the downfall of our country.

"U.S. to abandon Israel"

And a few years later,...

Five out of six Americans engage in nonpolitical politics, dump Republican and Democrat political parties

Most Americans Support Right of Jews to Live and Build in Judea-Samaria

"By a margin of nearly five to one, Americans oppose the Bush administration's demand to halt all further Jewish construction in Judea-Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza . . . The poll, carried out by John McLaughlin & Associates, surveyed a scientific sample of 1,000 American adults on May 21, 2003."

The article and the source are suspect, i.e. full of it.

“It’s not called the Rapture but it’s there.”

I hope that a pre-tribulation rapture is how it will play out. However, I don’t see this in scripture. I am inclined to think, hoping I’m wrong, that scripture indicates Christians will have to go through the tribulation.

You might be interested to know that pre-trib rapture theology is relatively new in Christianity. I “think” it didn’t catch on until late 19th and early 20th centuries. It really caught on big when Hal Lindsay started writing his best sellers in the early 70s.

I am not dogmatic on my views in this area of theology. The differing views of “end times” causes a great deal of anger and stife with some. I’m not one of them. I am only dogmatic/certain on one thing. Namely that Jesus Christ will bodily return at a time of His chosing as has been planned all along. The hows and when are unclear to me.

. Oh, OK. So the reason the US was formed and grew is/was because of Israel?
