Days before Gov. Blagojevich was charged with trying to sell President-elect Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder, top Senate Democrat Harry Reid made it clear who he didn’t want in the post: Jesse Jackson, Jr., Danny Davis or Emil Jones.
Rather, Reid called Blagojevich to argue he appoint either state Veterans Affairs chief Tammy Duckworth or Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, sources told the Chicago Sun-Times.

The only I am shocked by this entire Rod Blagoevich episode is if it turns out to be the most shocking revelation in the next four years.
The real question is which Democrat party hack was not badgering Blago? The stress must have been incredible. Hopefully Blago will testify against all these miscreants and they end up in prison

Chicago corruption is so corrupt it’s entertaining. I always read John Kass in the Chicago Tribune, have done for over 10 years. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of The Chicago Way and he has his fingers on the pulse. A very entertaining and well-informed columnist. Highly recommended.

Reid needs to come up with a report immediately that says he investigated himself and he did nothing wrong.
Yeah, I’m almost feeling sorry for the stupid guy. Heck, if I had all these numbskulls pressuring me for the seat, I’d probably say “What’s in it for me?” too.
Ok, I probably wouldn’t because I’m not a crook. But we all know they are all crooks, ESPECIALLY the Chicago branch of crooks. So it would almost be an anomoly that he DIDN’T ask for something from all the nimrods expecting him to place THEIR pick.
